Episode 58 - Wednesday 1st July 2009
Continues from yesterday, the foursome (GDR, MRB, Natraj & Koki) try eavesdropping outside Kalai's room, wondering what is happening behind closed doors. Koki carries some juice and enters the room, Kalai & Dinesh are poring over the laptop. Kalai asks her to place the drink there and leave. Koki is a tad disappointed... then follows MRB looking for her glasses. Again Kalai dismisses her saying the glasses must have been left elsewhere! After Dinesh leaves, Kalai gives a piece of her mind to the eavesdroppers. She was given a room for privacy and now everyone wants to invade. The next time they can all stay in her room while Dinesh and she would share some peaceful time in the living room. Roomkku vaasalla kaaval irukkeenga, naan veLiye pOgumpOdhu kooda kaavalukku varuveengala... She continues saying that they should believe and trust in their child, otherwise it would be difficult only for them in the future. (well said Kalai... aana unakku theriyumaa there are characters in other serials who even open letters addressed to someone else !!)
next scene Charu at the dining table looking at the calendar. 20th is marked as dance competition finals, she keeps walking up and down with a pensive look. The landline phone is off the hook, the handphone switched off...Remembers what daddy told the doctor of surprising Charu with the dance number and watching it with Charu when telecast on the tv, Charu feels guilty...
Indu & Madhi each reading a book. Meera's passport size photo falls from the book that Madhi is reading. he wonders aloud how it landed there. Indu questions him, Madhi laughs and shows other passport size photos of Meera who had requested him to help apply for the US visa. Indu asks why he should do it, Madhi explains to her that there needs to be a basic trust between husband and wife and that he loves Indu.. Indu feels bad...
Seshu talking with Madan explaining how he had won so many cases between companies and customers. Now he has lost the first case. he tried to bring Madan and Ponmani together and failed miserably. Madan says he had hopes that she would return atleast for the child. over the years she did not return, but why she did not even come after Seshu's request. What kind of a Mom is she... Seshu says she did feel for Charu when he spoke about it. Seshu had seen tears in her eyes and hid her feelings, that she is a better actor than Madan. Madan feels that she must have lived with bad memories unlike him who thinks only of those good things they shared. Seshu says that it was not because of those two years that she is angry with you but the lie that you have maintained for the last 18 years. Madan gets hold of Seshu's shirt and asks why he should tell her that? Seshu explains that he did not, but Ponmani herself brought that subject. When she told him that, he did not think of asking her how, ( correct naanga kooda sonnOm, aana unga kaadhula appo adhu vizhala) but now he is asking Madan. Seshu says he did tell Ponmani that if both of them were to meet and iron out their differences.. and how Ponmani did not want to talk to Madan when she saw him in Bangalore... that Madan was resting in Ponmani's office... now the bulb glows and Madan realises Ponmani should have known about the lie through Mahadevan.. Seshu suggests that Madan tell the truth to Charu then all problems would be solved.. Madan refuses saying there would be chaos after that (aammam, unakku un image pathi kavalai) Seshu says he would talk to her again.. but Madan repeats whatever Ponmani said, that he can visit him as a friend but not a mediator between the estranged couple.
Charu dancing to Santhanam's bho shambo in the balcony. Kalai comes there and turns off the music. Charu keeps dancing without realising the music is off... Kalai shakes her and brings her to reality, asking why she did not come to the college for the fine arts dance competition. They all had waiting and were cheated by Charu. Did not even attend the calls.. They had lost the prize... Charu says that she wanted to lose it because she suspected her father, and losing what she loved most was the best form of self induced punishment..
