Hi. I happened to watch today's show of Selvi. Yeah..I may have the order of events a little mixed up. Here goes.

12/30/05

Tamarai had asked Selvi's appa to come up to the platform thing. There, Andavan Lingam began his sweet talk with Selvi's appa. Then, he "hugs" him. Tamarai sees this happen, and asks Selvi's appa if he knows andavan lingam. She then asks selvi's appa if andavan was the one who destroyed his family in the past. selvi's appa doesn't respond at all. Then, Rangini is talking in the hall with some friends about how she was the reason why Tamarai got better, and begins to show off. Selvi's amma makes nasty remarks about rangini ["Iddu too much!"], while Selvi keeps smiling and pities ranging b/c she's pregnant. Selvi's amma rattles on until even Selvi's appa shushes her up in frustration. Then, Amar Lingam arrives in a procession to sit down. He and his father throw smirks and nasty glances at Selvi, while Selvi just looks back. Then, Maya comes with the tray with the thaali and offers it to many people, but purposely skips selvi, her amma, and her appa. Tamarai sees this, and asks maya why she skipped selvi and her parents. Maya answers that she was in a hurry, and then goes back to let selvi and parents bless the wedded couple with the tray. As usual, Selvi's amma says that maya and her family are bad people. Maya says that her family is bad, but selvi's family is bad too. Then, the bride [Pooja] arrives to sit next to Amar. It is almost time to put the thali around pooja's neck. While Amar ties the thali around Pooja's neck, he then chokes Pooja. Seeing this, Rangini cries, and Maya and Andavan smirk at this. As this is happening, other people run away. While Amar is choking Pooja, the serial stops there.

Yeah. It's pretty obvious that Amar is dreaming that he's choking Pooja. XD

Episode 243 (01-03-06 Tuesday update)

Scene 1

Scene starts where Ranjani and Maya r talking saying that Ranjani will see to it that Maya gets GJ. Thamarai walks in and asks what r u talking about and Ranjani manages to tell her that they were talking about Pooja and Amar's Honeymoon. Ranjani tells Thamarai that Maya wanted them to go right away but I told Anni might not agree as she had a big list of relatives to visit after the wedding. Thamarai tells yes, so requests Maya if they could go after some time and Maya agrees. Thamarai then tells Ranjani to go ahead and see of Pooja is ready. Ranjani leaves and Maya asks Thamarai that yr best friend selvi is not to be seen helping u at all, since was seen at the wedding hall but after that no were. Thamarai replies saying she knows selvi better than anybody else so, helps people when it is most needed like she was here 24 hrs helping me when I was sick and taking care of this house, and that is Selvi. When she helps she doesn't tell she is helping and just does it. Then Maya tells sorry she didn't know about this.
Ranjani walks into Pooja 's work and shouts at her to get ready as Anni is after her to see if Pooja is ready. She asks her why she is having a big face and not ready to keep flowers or wear bangles, and tells her to get ready ASAP and leaves.
Amar walks into the room while Pooja is sitting on the bed and thinking about her rape scene. Amar is having a very sly smile and wants to take advantage of this situation for sure.

Scene 2

Amar comes and sits by her and is smiling and then suddenly has a sad face and tries to console pooja saying not to cry and he needs her. Pooja says I am of no use now as this is not like a first night at all. Amar tries to tell this is their beginning and tell her to stop crying. Pooja doesn't respond and keeps crying saying she also had dreamt about happy life and keeping her husband happy but today I am not virgin and so, she is upset. Amar keeps consoling her and asks her to forget the past and we will think of our future and he has totally faith in him that he will keep her happy for life. Amar then takes her and makes her ly down in the bed and tell her to take rest.
Pooja while lying down think – Without Amar I would have died.
Amar – You can not die that fast, I have to do many things in this house with u as my triumph card.
Pooja – I will do whatever help u need as u have given me a new life
Amar – I have not given u any life, but took your life before the wedding, and u r saying I am good person.
Pooja – u r the only nice guy for me
Amar – for me u r a Marakattai and with yr help I will ruin the people in this house.
GJ is playing carom with his kids and is winning. Maya comes there and shows her power and tells GJ that he has to play with her and win. Sachin tells Maya that she can't win over his dad but she says let us see and starts playing. GJ looses .

Scene 3

Thamarai walks in and tells what happened who won. Kids tell her that Maya aunty won amma and Thamarai tells ok then let us play one more round where I will play with Maya and GJ will be by me. Maya tells she like challenges and Thamarai tells me too. But Maya tells if Thamarai wins she will give whatever she asks for but if Maya wins GJ has to give whatever she asks for. Thamarai sense something fishy and agrees to the bet. Thamarai wins finally and Maya tells I won't go back on my bet u may ask whatever u want, but Thamarai tells "I don't have interest in others property and until I am alive no one can think of doing any harm to my husband". Maya tells Thamarai that she appreciates her support towards her husband. Thamarai then leaves along with kids and GJ.
Madhu (stupid) is getting ready to go to work cursing her family members for using soap. On her way she sees Malar's kids crying and cruses them and shouts for her Tiffin box. Her mom comes and gives her Tiffin and Madhu tells today they r opening a new section at work and she is in charge of it and leaves hurriedly. On the doorstep Malar comes along with her kid and tells her kid to tell bye bye to chitti and on seeing Malar Madhu tells, bye bye was very important a what, u coming in front of me itself says what bad luck is in store for me". Malar stands shocked.

here is the wednesday episode 04.01.06

The episode begins where they left off on Tuesday night with Malar walking into the house as Madhu is leaving for office. Madhu makes a crass comment about Malar walking in just as she was leaving by being apashakunam. Malar is hurt and tearful again. Madhu cribs and walks back inside the house, and Selvi sees Malar crying. On enquiring she finds out what Madhu said to her. Meanwhile in the kitchen rombha too much asks Madhu why she was back having screamed earlier that she was getting late. Madhu explains to her mother that just as she was leaving for work, Malar comes in. Her mom is surprised that Madhu has started seeing shakunam and expresses her surprise. Madhu tells her, you are the one who tells me when you go for an auspicious work one has to see shakunam. Latha says ok she will go and tell Malar and bring her back inside the house. And turns around to see Selvi listening to this at the kitchen doorway with Malar a few steps behind her.

Selvi asks her mother what is she going to say to Malar? If the family treat her like this then what will the world say? Madhu lets loose her tongue (I can't remember an occasion when her tongue was in check) says everyone in this house can what they please but she talks the sky falls down etc. She accuses Selvi of being the cause of everybody's miserable lives in that house. She accuses Selvi of being jealous of her cos she has made herself a better life than all of them. And b'cos she does not go to Selvi for hand outs. Selvi puts on an unhappy face and says if she was that bad, and if she is the cause of all of them being ruined, and for all their miserable lives, why the hell should she stay on in that house. Latha and Malar look shocked and we break for the ads.

Ads through, and Latha opens the back door to find Yog walking in the garden, she rushes to him and says Selvi has changed clothes and is going to leave. Please go and stop her. Yog says why should this happen. Latha says Madhu spoke nastily (does she ever do anything but bitch?) to her and now Selvi is angry and is leaving. And hustles him into the house to stop Selvi from leaving. They walk into the house to find Selvi changed from what she was wearing earlier and walking towards the front door. The father apologises to Selvi and asks her not to go. Selvi looks puzzled. Then Malar says, you are leaving all this is b'cos of me. I shall apologise on behalf of Madhu, akka don't go. Latha follows this up. Selvi says where am I going? Then Yog says you mom said that you are leaving cos of something Madhu said. Selvi answers him saying where she would go. If she had wanted to desert them she would have done that when Yog left them in the lurch in Sri Lanka. Shamefully Yog hangs his head. She then says she could have left when GJ offered to buy her a house and move her in it (she does not know the concept of chinna veedu I guess). She says you are only family I have. If it were not for my brothers and sisters where would I be (a small halo starts forming over her head. 😆 ) she says I am not going anywhere. Lotus said she wanted to go to the temple and would come and pick me up that is why I changed (if they had showed the niceties of Selvi a little more I m sure she would have sprouted a pair of wings too..!)

After the ad breaks, the scene shifts to lotus's house. GJ sits in a dimly lit room reading something. The door opens and light falls on him and he looks at the door and grimaces. Ranjani stands there with a cup of beverage and says she brought it for him. He asks why she has brought it why not lotus. She says she brought it cos tams asked to. He says don't start your drama just b'cos you have taken tams into your hands. I have not forgotten what you have done to Selvi. Ranjani flares up and tells him I wonder if you are my real brother. He accuses her of being a criminal. And she hurls the accusations back at him saying he is no less. He does crimes in a larger scale and she does it within the house on a smaller scale (honestly…can a family actually be like this?). That shuts him up. She turns around and threatens him if he does not behave himself, she will tell tams about Selvi and sails out of the room.

Tam is outside and says to Ranjani how long have you gone. You just had to go and give the coffee. Ranjani hums and haws and tam asks her to hurry Pooja and Amar cos they need to go the temple. Meanwhile GJ walks out of the room, and Tams asks him to hurry and get dressed as they need to go to the temple. GJ says he needs to go to work, (most of the time he is hovering around the women tams, Selvi, Ranjani, and Maya listening in on their conversations but I guess he has started working these days) after a fuss he agrees and makes a move to go in when Ranjani comes back to say that Pooja and Amar don't want to go to the temple. Amar comes around the same time stands with hands folded and says he promised his friend they would meet him and please can they go for that. Tam permits that and tells GJ lets pick Selvi up and take her to the temple. GJ says why Selvi? (Selvi must have had a premonition that they were going to take her to the temple) tams explains poor Selvi always sitting at home and she is so unhappy. It is up to us to take her here and there. GJ agrees and goes to his room and tams leaves to change her sari. Amar and Ranjani talk among themselves as to how she is unable to split Selvi and tams. Yoyo says don't worry that will happen. He will make sure about that. He walks to the room where GJ is and taunts him. GJ says doing a lot of drama he married Pooja. That is where he check mated him. Yoyo clarifies that it was not a check but 'aapu' and laughs maniacally. The scene freezes with an angry GJ's face framing the doorway….
