hmmm...i like bebo..i luved her in k3g, jab we met n sum other movies..shez a really good actress ..no doubt about that!!! buh guys have u ever seen her career graph.. i mean she debuted in 2000 .. n she has given only few hits in all these years....i can even count her hits on my hands lol...buh ya she iz a good actress buh so was tabu n sum other gurls....

after jab we met ..only 2 movies came out of hers..tashan n golmal returns ..tashan was a major flop n golmal returns was a hit buh do we even remember if bebo was in the movie?? ... ..how cum media still calls her number one ??? is she being called number one cuz media has always been hyping her ever since she started her career??? ... .. i mean she is always in the news or she makes news to be in the news....she has good PR ..no doubt....

like when jb we met released everyone called her trend setter cuz of those patiyala buh how cum rani was never being called trendsetter..same thing happened when bunty or bubly released n that patiyala thing got really IN from that song "Dhadak dhadak"... aish got really skinny for dhoom 2 buh it never became the news... but whtever kareena does ..it always becum the news..its not lyke aishwariya or rani were/ are less popular than bebo..HELL NO!!!

when she got best actress trophy 4 jwm ...it was all over the news how she is number 1 n etc...

how cum the same media didnt say anything like that bout priyanka chopra when she got best actress award for fashion n she gave another hit dostana right after fashion...

So is it media who iz calling bebo number 1 n also forcing us to call her number 1 ..since shez always in the news ..

no offend to any bebo fans... just a random thought came in my mind n i posted it lol

Kareena is called No.1 coz she is the most talented in the present lot.Compare her to Deepika,Katrina n others and she is far ahead in terms of experience and acting talent.

She has glamour + talent and that is what works for her.

If she is in the media more than others it's because Saif and her are more friendly to the media compared to the other stars and they have no inhibitions in talking that is why there are so many articles n interviews about them.N Yes she has a great PR team with her.

In the Industry it's not only about hits-you have to have that special charm which will attract people.If you look at the number of hits in heroines-Even Ash does not have the best record or in heroes Salman has not done well last year but their popularity has not decreased a bit because people have already excepted them and hits and flops don't really matter anymore.

When Hrithik had a bad phase after KHPH till KMG media wrote him off but people still loved him.So it all boils down to how lucky you are to make that connection with the comman man.

There are so many better actors out there like Konkana,Nandita,Irrfan Khan but that X factor eludes them which makes people a "star".

To a certain extent, her PR is very experienced, but that shouldnt take awya frmo the fact that she is an exceptional actor.

Why else is it that she continues to bag the best projects and work with the most reputed makers? Since her debut, as you pointed out, kareena was a born star. I think she proved to everyonje in just her first film that she can act. After that she immeditately gvae two hits, MKKH and K3G.

Then she had a long string of flops, but still, there was something in taht girl that kept her afload. Its strange. Normally, actors fizzle out if htey are unable to give hits, but kareena was always a wanted star in all her movies.

What also worked was the fact that when ehr movies werent working, she was giving great award winning performances such as Yuva, Dev, Chameli, etc.

And if you notice, the girl has immense charisma, charm, and appeal. SHe lights up the screen whenevers he comes on. Love her or hate her, you cant ignore her. And I think that can be said of her on and offscreen as well. She was always a superstar.

Her dance numbers, be it dupatta mera, yeh mera dil, its rocking, or even the more recent , mauja and marjaani are instant winners with the audience. Its not as if she's a great dancer, lol. But she has that bit that keeps the audience captivated and asking for more.

I guess, the only thing keeping kareena down since her debut was her lack of commercial hits. That's what articles kept saying. Why is commercial success eluding ehr when she continues to give great performances? She won many awards as well.

So when JWM became a hit, its liek she catapulted to the top and left everyone behind.

Now she's not only a strong performer, but she also is a bankable actress who is capable of giving hit movies. She remains one of the highest paid. Her endorsements top the lists (airtel being the most recent), infact her dietician's book "lose your weight not your mind" is the national best seller.

Kareena sells.

To some extent ur rite (by the way i love kareena and is no.1 actress in my books)...but the thing with actresses are that its not always about the good movies they produce...the media plays the most part in any actors life therefore is they can maintain a good status with media and be an good actress they are no. 1, while others can can only be good at acting but can't handle the media therefore are not liked by media leading to negative popularity and hated by people that might be the case with ash...... i hope i make sense

If you look at her movies, whlie they may not be hits, they were GOOD movies, quite a few of em. Hits and misses are part of the game, but at the end of the day, you get noticed coz of your roles.

And kareena has a VARIETY of em.

Her resume of roles include:
Refugee

Asoka

K3G (full on glam and memorable character, lol)

Chameli

Yuva (sweet n simple)

Dev (very hard hitting)

Aitraaz (excellent dialogue delivery as lawyer)

Omkara

JWM

Tashan (ultra glam once agian)

So yeah, pictures are worth a thousand words, so that's my point,lol

I think Kareena aint exactly in people's good books either, lol.

Aish and Kareena are both hated quite a lot by the public and media.

They both had huge hate bases. But the more popular you are, the more critics and haters you'll attract.

I dont think Kareena is overrated...in fact she's one of the most talent actresses we have...but she certainly over exposed, and thats kinda off-putting at times...though thats got nothing to do with her talent...
