yeah lakshi..thats right....also agree wid "theEngineer"......its the father's chromosome that decides the gender although he doesnt have any control in the process...Hope that wid this issue coming up in BV..atleast some people get access to proper knowledge of this fact and dont blame the woman....even in quite educated societies this misconception is prevalent till today..! šŸ˜”

There is one more interesting fact and that is that the mother of the son wants her bahu to give birth to grandson whereas ironically the grand son doesn't carry her genes,he carries the genes of his grand father. It is the grand daughter who carries her genes. In order to understand just make a chart starting with a man(xy) and woman(xx) then they having a son (xy) the son getting married and the son having a son and daughter. Try to find the answer urself. 😊

The father may not have any control over the sex of the baby. But it is his chromosome that will determine the gender. So blaming the mother for something she doesn't even produce is stupidity. For this reason, it is said that its the father's responsibility (albeit involuntary)

That is what I am saying. It is not proper to blame the father just to take the blame away from the mother. Both have no responsibility in deciding the gender of a child, as the process is completely random and free of outside control.
