Aamir's wedding: The most secretive event of the year?

Panchagani, (Satara district), Dec. 31 (PTI): It has been one of the most secretive events of the year. Aamir and Kiran Khan's wedding celebrations in this small hill station resembles a top secret summit meet with tight security, guests sworn to secrecy and entry passes, rather than a top Bollywood actor celebrating his recent marriage. The star seems to have gone to great lengths to escape the media and public attention, hiring personal security guards, fencing the entire resort where he is staying with family and friends, and even issuing passes to guests without which they cannot enter any venue. "We are not told in advance where we are going next. There are three hotels booked and the parties keep happening at each venue. Even to enter the hotels we have to show our passes. We cannot get food and water without these passes," said the driver of one of the guests. More than 200 guests, including Sachin Tendulkar and Rani Mukherjee, have joined the bride and groom at Panchgani to celebrate their December 28 wedding and usher in the New Year and three hotels have been booked entirely for the purpose.

All the venues have been cordoned off to the media and locals, and staff has been brought in from Mumbai to prevent leakage of any information. The extent to which Khan has gone to keep the media away is evident from the fact that all people involved in the organisation of the event have been brought in from Mumbai.
