I don't base my opinion on frequency of their appearances together, because that doesn't mean anything ... last year Ness was also more like 'behind the scenes' and all you could see was PZ hugging everyone except him 😆 which in her case is not shocking or suprising, she seems like an very effusive person ... if I see let say ... Rani or Priyanka hugging or kissing on a check some guy I would start to suspect that something is going on, but PZ is that affective with everyone, so all recent rumours about her affair with Vikram are ridicolous in my opinion.

After this interview I think that there's something wrong between them for sure, maybe they took a time off or still trying to work things out so they don't want to make a clear mutual statement, which I understand - it's been more than four years, so you don't call it quits so fast unless something drastic happen to provoke a break up in first place and what's more important they are in this IPL together anyway, neither Preity nor Ness can just "pack all of her/his stuff" and move out 😕

they are separated since he said he's there for partnership like a bussiness partner is what he means. And he said friendship is always there so even if they broke up they are friends is what he means.
