Part 3

The wedding was a quiet affair followed by a grand reception. Pia and Ranveer flew to Mauritius right after the reception while Jai and Bani stayed back. Jai had told his masi and di that the collaboration was taking too much of his time to go on a honeymoon right away. as all the guest left Bani was showed to her new room by Masi while Jigyasha told them she will go find Jai. She still is entitled to her Neg. Masi had also had left after awhile. Bani stayed put in the room not wanting to venture out.

She didn't realized when she fell asleep but it was close to three when she heard the door to here bedroom open and in swayed a semi drunk Jai. Bani could smell the faint smell of alcohol lineger in the room. As soon as Jai's head fell on the pillow he feel asleep instantly.


"Budha kahi ka. Peeke aramki need soye ga abh" She mumbled to herself before she fell asleep as well.

It was close to eight when Bani woke up to find the inhabitant in the right side of the bed missing. he must have left just prior to her waking up since the mirror in the bathroom was still a bit foggy. she freshened up hereself and made way to the kitchen to find the Butler Tony Dezousa hard at work.

"Mein tumhari koyi madat kary" Bani asked politely.

"No, Ma'am, there isn't much to do. Sir had just left a tille early today at 7:30 am that's why I have my work piled up. He usually leaves at 9:30. Some new business deal he is working on" Tony explained.

Not knowing what to do she began to venture to the rest of the house. 'Akeli jaan aur itna bara ghar' she thought. 'Maybe this is the way the rich flaunt their wealth'. Bani spent the rest of the day mindless doing a few task here and there to help Tony. She had her dinner all alone after talking to Masi who had just reached Chandigarh.

Around 10 she hard a soft murmur of a car pull up the driveway. At that time she was already tucked in bed. She closed her eyes pretend to sleep but the door to her room didn't open.

Again Bani woke up around 8 am to find the right side of her bed empty but it sure did look like it had been slept in. 'He must have left early' she thought but the very moment she heard the shower turn off. Second later Jai walked in to the room to find Bani sitting upright in the bed looking at him. Jai clad only in a towel which cover only his lower torso walk shameless around the room to cupboard. Bani looked down avoiding his glance as she made way out of the bed and began asking the bed.

"Good Morning Jaan" Jai said as he pulled his head out of a starch white vest and proceed to put on his white shirt while awaiting a reply from his wife. After a few second when he was completely igrored he walked closer o her and with inches away from her he whispered in her ear " Meine Kaha Good Morning Jaan. Mujhse kya naraz ho?"

"Please don't call me Jaan, Mr. Walia" She huffed at his as she turned away/

"Touch meri pyari patni. I'd prefer Jai, Jaan or Honey" he replied trying to catch up to her.

"Please Jai" she said as she tried to escape to the bathroom. Let out a sigh as she closed the bathroom door on his face.

"Yeh mujhe kya horaha hia. Pushkar kaha ho to tum?" She said as the water from the shower brushed and caressed her.

When she had emerged fro the shower she saw that the bed was made and a note was placed on the bed

Sharma has cancelled the rest of you vacation

Good she thought she didn't want to spend any more time alone. at least this way she could talk to Sonam, Sharma Uncle and the other coworkers.
"Oh ho, OH ho" said a bunch of girls walking behind her as she walked to her office from the elevator.

"The she is. Hitler ki Rani" whispered one of the girls.
Bani didn't pay any mind to those girls know very well she would have joining them if it was someone else in her shoe. She finally made it to her office just as Sonam was getting into hers.

"Suno, I heard what they are all calling you" Sonam said as she walked into Bani's office instead of hers.

"To ein kya karoo. Ek Jaamana tha I was just like them all. But yeh to meri majboor hai aur meri tooti footi life" she said while thinking Pushkar mein tumhai nahi choroongi.

"Saabar kar Saabar ka phal meetha hota hai"

"Easy for you to say after the collanration you will hardly have to see him. Now let me wokr i have to see him in a bit."

The meeting went off smoothly. while everyone was clearing out Jai called out to Bani "Mrs. Walia may I have a word with you?". Bani stayed back but just as the last person left the confrence room and closed the door behind him she let all her anger out at Jai. "Look Mr. Walia, I am Bani Nishikant Dixit, not Mrs. Jai Walia. Now why did you want me to stay behind for?"

"Socha tha apni biwi ke saath confrence room mein romace karloo." he said with a smile. The statement made her eyebrow arch so he gave her a just kidding look and said "I have spoken to Shyam Sharma and he and I agree that there are far better projects for you to be working on at WGI instead of the collaboration.

"No, Mr. walia, Uncle knows there is nothing better for me than this collaboration. I need to see it right since there is nothing I can do to stop it." she spoke back while tightening the grip to her notepad real hard. Her knuckles turned white from it. Jai had no idea that she was against the while thing so he inquired why but all he got from Bani was "Tum nahi sajogaye" and she slammed the door of the conference room behind her. 'Socha that apni biwi ke saath conference room ein romance karlo' She mimicked him as she walked back to her office in a very low voice so that one one else could hear.

Next few days were much of the same for Bani. She woke up right after Jai left for the office. She'd only see him at their daily meeting to keep everyone posted on the collaboration. She hardly saw Jai after that. Even her evenings were spend much the same as the first few day of her married life. She would now and then have a chat over the phone with Jigyasha who was extremely busy with Anu, her daughter who had come back to their house for the duration of her pregnancy. Jigyasha would complain that she doesn't know how she will cope with two pregnant ladies in her house once Pia and Ranveer get back from their honeymoon. Masi had also called telling her she should be back shortly. Jai on the other hand still behave the same as the first few day of their marriage. He still would only come to bed once Bani was asleep and that too in a semi drunk state. Sometimes Bani wondered why he agreed to this marriage if he didn't care for it. The thought that he had to be drunk to come to his room to sleep next to his wife made Bani cringe.
