| Karisma Tanna with Karan Patel and Sachin Sharma Pic: Yogen Shah | When Karisma Tanna sent out personal messages to a few select people, from her phonebook, inviting them for her birthday party on December 20, we were convinced that the whole world would turn up for the party.
But to our surprise, the bash turned out to be a very private and a classy affair.
Attendees consisted of her close actor friends (from the Kyunki gang) and those from her other daily, Paalkhi (Zee). Trendsetters
Like always, Gauri Pradhan and Hiten Tejwani stuck to each other. Gauri always leaves her Nandini image behind and comes dressed in trendy western outfits. And Hiten is a die-hard party animal, and loves to hit the dance floor.
Shooting rut
Anita walked in by herself in a brown ensemble. When asked about her Kavyanjali co-star Eijaz Khan, she said, I think he isn t keeping too well. Perhaps shooting day in and day out is taking a toll on both of them. Welcome change
There were two actors who turned out to be the surprise package of the evening. Pallavi Kulkarni, on a prolonged break, post Kehta Hai Dil; and Rajeev Khandelwal, who, for a change, has forgotten about work and is seen chilling out at parties these days.
The two seemed to be engrossed in a long conversation for quite some time. When asked, Pallavi said, We were just catching up and exchanging pleasantries. On the other hand, Rajeev, who usually is mellow and reserved, was seen hopping around, meeting and hugging people. A welcome change for sure. One at a time
Karisma s Paalkhi co-star, Abhay Vakil, was brooding about the early morning shoot he had to go for the next day. The actor, who has been getting offers from other shows, prefers to stick to one daily at a time. At the moment, Paalkhi is getting all my time. If something interesting turns up, I will think about it. Abhay will be going to the US for the festive celebrations this year. Cake ritual
Birthday girl Karisma was spotted asking people to join her on the dance floor. However, during the cake cutting, she made it clear that no one should spoil her make-up by smearing the cake on her face. And no one dared! |
