This time, Book Talk Dev. Team thought we should bring in a fun thread to the section.

So here it is, a simple yet very entertaining thread. We want you to make a movie of your favorite book (not literally of course, but if anyone's willing to do that, be my guest 😳)

Think about your favorite books and the characters. Then think about the actors you know. Now your job is to come up with the actors that you think should play those characters.

There are no particular rules, however, we do expect everyone to follow the general IF behavioral codes.

Try and use a format that makes it easy for others to follow... So maybe start with a book you think should be made into a movie (or even the one that has been, but you don't quite agree with the star cast). Then put the character names and by that put in the names of the actors that you see apt for that role.

We hope everyone enjoys this activity!

I don't it'll kill the movie..also you know how reading a book is more special and more of a task then just watching a movie. So then, all these people who know nothing about the book will watch the movie and run around calling themselves fans...argh, fangirls :(

OMG me too...! And I would love to make a movie on a story I read "No Motive" by Daphne du Maurier...also The Maltese Falcon by Dashiel Hammett (I even have decided about the casting in my mind for this one LOL) and if I get a chance, also for "Slaughter-House Five" and "Sad Cypress" as well as "Five Little Pigs" by Agatha Christie! (Casting ready for this one as well)
Boy, I sure have a ton of movies to make!😆

Rani & Sukh wud be gr8 as a movie... a gr8 love story!

I'm not sure as to which actors would best play the characters of the book... but I'm sure if it's done properly it cud make a really good movie

I would like to remake the Anne of Green Gables movies. The only Sullivan Movie I liked was the first one, but it wasn't all that great. I'd life to make a movie series for all the books.

i would like to remake To kill a Mockingbird. I know that there is already a pretty good version out there (Gregory Peck as Atticus was fantastic) but I would love to see a new one.

I wouldn't want my fav books to be turned into a moviee. Because they kill it !!!!! murder it infact , brutallyy ...

I would love or rather crave for making a movie of my favourite book "Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles". Even though there has been a film with the similar title and storyline, the film did not instigate me with any thrill. I would love to make it with new elements and original scenes.

I would ask Jude Law to be Sherlock while Timothy Spall can be a good Dr. Watson.
