BUT KHNH had Merryl Lynch Bull, Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge - dhokha. But then 7 years in Tibet was shot in Argentina.

Eurotrip might be the most authentic tourist movie then.

bollywood movies do teach education as well as values. bookish things we can get from reading books but i think bollywood movies teach human relations, values, culture, love all these important things very well.

and yes they do shoot in places other than they reallly are. but then its not pracitically possible for them to shoot in real locations right? as far as they keep it as close to the real locations they are educational. like then dont shoot in a desert to show a hill station?

Learning about rocks and lava is not the only education my friend.

For me real education is when it teaches you to be a good human being. Thus, as already said in the earlier post, there are many other things such as: culture, values, relations and other things about life.

I would agree@ bold, at the same time should injects ton of practical(in all aspects) / cultural - knowledge points... not from stand point of getting A+ grades but generally. There are negatives too... those are subjected to ignorance and it is just a movie mind set.😉

Agreed with this part of your post...and there are many movies out there that do teach you to be a good human being and that good wins over the bad.

Going by current bolly-crap, I would not say one gets to learn about Indian culture these days😆 Yes, values and relations can still be found there but culture - naah.

yes, some bollywood movies are crap these days. Older generation movies were different. Most of the movies , like Deewar (randomly picked from many), had strong characters and memorable stories.

😊 there are many things like that in the Bollywood movies. For example I used to think that "hum dil de chuke sanam" was shot in Italy, but it seems that it was shot somewhere else and probably in Poland.

But, sometimes Hollywood movies are worse with their superman's and heroes wearing underwears over their pants, Rambo defeating a whole army, Aliens living in Mars, Harry potter and his super wand and so many other things that can go on.
