So when you describe someone's appearance what is usually the first thing that comes to mind? Their race which usually is synonymous with their features associated with that race unless if they are mixed and it's harder to tell. With Obama, you see a black man even though he is black and white mixed. We see a person's skin color and then put them into a race category.
