I think we should be allowed to delete out own topics and replies. Sometimes I accidentally create a topic that already has been posted. And sometimes I want to delete my own reply from a discussion I think we should have the option to delete our own topics and replies. What do you guys think of that I idea?

Well I think members are liking the forums and caring for the forum they would only delete the replies or topics that are not needed anymore.. plus they should only be able to delete there own topics. I personally don't see a problem with members deleting there own posts.

Its a good idea but its not really needed. I mean, if we do create a topic that has already been posted then Im sure the Mods will delete or close it!

Delete our own topics and replies is not a good idea, because deleting our replies would result in the topic/ or discussion being incomplete. Imagine reading a thread with missing posts? This will only lead to more problems and I don't see any problem with contacting the Moderators if you want to delete your posts/ threads!

Well some mods I think are too busy with there own stuff to pay attention... and I don't think that we are discussing anything so important that if some posts get deleted nothing will make sense. And I think everyone on this website is capable of making stuff out if some posts in between are deleted.

Actually, it doesn't. Suppose you make a thread, and then delete it, you're essentially deleting the posts by other members who replied. Anyone and everyone will delete their threads, and all your posts will go missing.

There are a lot of things that can happen if such a feature is allowed, and it has been removed for a reason.

If you have made a thread or post that has to be trashed, PM a moderator. Even if you seem to believe they are too busy, they may have the time to do it.

Locking the topic.
