Guess the poor journo aint having any luck on that hunt for a new Khan, cuz he/she is taking damn long time to return, and while the writer is busy hunting lets list few reasons why we, the fans, love Sallu so much........

1-His body - If you actually manage to get over all that talks of six pack- and eight pack - abs you might just remember that Salman Khan was Bollywood's original hunk. The sexy star who showed almost ALL the other heroes what it takes to be in shape has STILL not lost it himself.

2-Ability to bounce back - Just when you think he's down and out, Salman manages to deliver something totally out of the blue that takes you by surprise! Just when everyone thought it was the end of this Khan, he comes up with Tere Naam & Partner. Indeed, Salman may still be reeling under the string of flops over the 2008 but we won't be remotely surprised if he manages to pull of a surprise of sorts with Veer and London Dreams.

3-A true friend - In an industry where the green stuff rules the roost, Salman stands like a rock behind everyone he considers his friends. Why, when Govinda was out of action, it was Salman who resurrected his career, almost single handedly with Partner. Celebrity photographer Avinash Gowariker swears by Sallu who did ALL photo shoots with him and no one else... for ten long years! Just two of the many instances of Salman's loyalty. And that's also one of the reasons why we simply can't get over this Khan.

4-The Prem - Ask Sooraj Barjatya and chances are that he too will confess that there couldn't be any other Prem other than Salman Khan. The loverboy who effortlessly stole the heart of the leading lady and every other girl in the audience could never be replaced - not by Hrithik Roshan nor by Shahid Kapur. Is it a surprise that Rajshri films not starring Salman Khan have never really stayed with us?

5-The largehearted painter - Call him a novice if you wish, but name another amateur painter whose paintings can earn lakhs of rupees! And then the gesture of gifting Ranbir Kapoor a portrait of Raj Kapoor while shooting for Dus Ka Dum was probably what stole the show. After all not every star looks at a promising newcomer with so much affection, does he? And then the recent one where he gifted two of his paintings inspired by Ghajini to Aamir Khan! In fact, Sallu even has plans to sell painted t-shirts and use the money for charity. And that just happens to be our number one reason why we absolutely LOVE Salman Khan!

6-Most eligible bachelor - Despite several professional and personal lows over the years, Salman Khan continues to be one of India's most popular and bankable star. He has shown a remarkable record of strong box office showings and proved himself a master of all film genres. He is considered India's eternal lover boy and the name of Prem is synonymous with him. Even at the age of 42, Salman remains India's most eligible bachelor.

7-More All-Time Blockbusters than any other star in Bollywood and other BO records -Despite being the huge stars in the likes of Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, and Shah Rukh Khan, our Salman Khan still have more All-Time Blockbusters than any other stars in Bollywood history e.g. 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun' and 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. The closest star to beat him is Shah Rukh Khan with two All-Time Blockbusters. Also, Salman Khan is one of the few stars to have other records at the Box-Office.

Salman Khan is currently at Number 3 (tied with SRK) in the list for having the top grosser of the year. He has so far five in the list ('Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Biwi No.1', and 'No Entry'). Amitabh Bachchan currently has seven films as the top grossers of the year, while Dilip Kumar has ten films.

8-Despite what he goes through, his fans are still with him till the end -Now, you tell me, only few actors are blessed with this. Look at what Salman Khan has been through in life and all the bad stuff he has done – yet his fans are there for him through thick and thin. When he was in jail, people prayed for him, fasted for him, gave food to him in jail, they also tried to visit him in jail! This man is a rockstar in India. And the day he was released, there was a huge celebration at his house; likely over 1000 people were there. After all he has been through, fans are supposed to hate Salman Khan, yet they love him more and his fan base did increase.

Well, Salman and Shah Rukh may both have the biggest fan base following in India, but Salman Khan has the most loyal fans in India. That's why, as fans, we voted Salman Khan to be in the Madame Tussauds and deservingly, he won the poll beating the likes of Kajol, Madhuri Dixit, and Hrithik Roshan.

Ladies and Gentleman, the Salman Khan space shuttle has had a ferocious blast-off, blinding everyone in the light of his brilliance, choking the critics in the raging fire of his talent and deafening everyone with the words, 'East or West…Salman is the best!'
