Saif's health postpones his holiday with Kareena

Mumbai: Not for long, though... Saif and Bebo's holiday has been pushed back a couple of days;all because of Saif's recent hospitalisation
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were to leave for the Alps yesterday night for a week long holiday but now that has been postponed by a few days as the actor suddenly took ill on Thursday afternoon and was rushed to Leelavati hospital.
By Saif's side
Says a source close to the couple, "They were really looking forward to spending time together as they've in the last few months as both of them have been travelling constantly for their shootings. Kareena wants Saif to recover completely. She isn't even thinking about their postponed holiday.
She was with Saif when he was brought to the hospital. She was very scared and disturbed. She spent a lot of time with the doctors talking about Saif's health problem. Bebo really loves Saif a lot and gets very anxious when he falls ill. She didn't leave his bedside at all."
The source adds, "Saif and Kareena will now leave for their Alpine holiday tomorrow night, after Saif is discharged today but that's only after Saif gets a clean chit from the doctor.
Bebo's exhausted
Kareena is exhausted too she's been with Saif for the last two days as much as possible. Her voice has completely gone today after talking to all the people calling to enquire about her beau's condition. But both are looking forward to their holiday and some rest and relaxation after a year of hard work."
"I am fine!"
Saif Ali Khan speaks from his hospital bed in Leelavati on Friday evening:
"It was just a case of eating too much spicy food, lack of sleep, working too hard on cold nights and sheer bad luck. I have been shooting nights in Philadelphia for Karan's film. I came back on Tuesday, got off the flight, spent a nice evening with Kareena and went home. I have been staying up late as I have been suffering a case jetlag. At home, I ate a massive dose of bhelpuri, daal-chawal with lots of mirchi (chillies) and papad basically, a lot of teekha stuff. I had been missing that in Philly. On Christmas Eve, I dined at Kareena's place.
I had a slight pain in the stomach but I didn't pay heed to it. I thought if I lay down and took some medicines it would go away but it didn't. It got worse by Thursday morning and by afternoon I had to go to Leelavati."
Saif says it was an intestinal infection and not food poisoning. "It was more like a stomach upset with a lot of pain. There was no vomiting or fever. The doctors have been extra-cautious and kept me under observation for 24 hours. I should be going home tomorrow as I am 100 per cent fit now."
Was he scared when he had to be rushed to the hospital? Saif laughs, "I don't get scared about my health these days. I get scared of much simpler things like cockroaches and bad movie reviews!"
