Today 7 performed. The public will vote for these 7 out of which three will be selected tomorrow. Tomorrow 8:30 pm results will be declared for this batch.
Then next week 7 girls will perform.

Thanks for the explanation. So, nobody performs tomorrow? Is it results only?

That means this round of 28 is dragged into 4 weeks , 7 contestants per week perform on Monday out of which 3 get selected based on one night voting on Tuesday and at the end of 4 weeks we have the final 12? So, nothing happens between Tuesday and foll. Monday!

Thats a long gap for the people who performed the first week. They have to wait for 4 weeks to perform the next round?

Also, it would be nice if audience can hear them all and then vote for who they think are the best. Because, now each week 7 contestants are competing with each other as if the rest don't exist.

If my interpretation is right, I don't like the format. This is very long drawn process. Any comments?

Thanks. I am in US so haven't watched the entire episode as yet - will come on Sony tonight at 10 pm. I just watched the recap posted here and Karunya was the best.

I think girls are singing tonight.the results will be announced together.4 batches of 7.they will be made to sit on benches . and top 3 will be announced with all the drama 😊

indian idol so far has been so-so,the first batch of singers-except karunya no body really surprised us.may be because i watch srgmp and then there was arijit....... 😃

karunya was the best of the lot today.
