Raag Darbari
Mohd. Rafi sings raag Darbari " O duniya ke rakwale"a vocally and emotionally challenging song.Quote:There is a story behind this song once i was listing to a radio show by naushaad and he said that a man was about to be hanged in kolkata jail. and when the jailer asked him what was his last wish. he said that he wanted to listen to this song by Mohd. Rafi. Oh duniya ke rakwale. his last wish was respected and the jailer ordered for the song to be played just before he was hanged. he listened to this whole song and in tears he was hanged even the guy who hanged him was in tears. that's it.

Tappa is a form of Indian classical vocal music. There are four such forms.
The other three being Dhrupad, Kheyal and Thumri. Tappa itself is subdivided into two types: Hindustani and Bangla. The gifted music expert, Golam Nabi, alias Shori Mian (1742-1792), of the court of the Nawab of Ayodhya elevated Hindustani Tappa to the level of classical music while Ramnidhi Gupta aka Nidhu Babu(1741-1839) introduced Bangla Tappa.
