I usually associate the word smart with brain capacity-if this is what was intended then I believe probably those who have some solid educational background. Didn't Amisha get a gold medal or something and as well Kareena got selected by Harvard for Law or even Ash who had strong academic background....Now if the word smart was taken to mean as smart in making money then at the moment Akshay the highest paid followed by SRK and Ashwarya overall the most bankable.....And if smart is taken to produce an incredible movie then Aamir fits the bill.

I am assuming Smart = Witty and articulate. I don't know abt stars academic background or how they are really...I can say a bit going by their interviews. I think Aamir, Imran, Sonam, Anil Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Abhishek Bachchan, SRK are quite witty and funny. They speak well too.

I think Amisha Patel, Ash, and Sush are very intellectual and well spoken. I also think John comes across as an intelligent man. Amitabh bachchan is very well spoken. Abhishek also is very witty. Sharukh and Aamir are very smart business wise.
