Hey
I was reading some reviews and it got me really mad and annoyed..also thinking seriously what is up with the people that write these reviews. Now i am not saying that people should not like films but the reasons were what we got annoyed..here are some quotes.
Seriously it is not about whether people like the movie or not its about the point they are making. Yes rajshri might show tradtional movies and be cheesy at times. At the end of the day are they not just showing the positive side to people and the goodness along with values and culture which make india what it is. Even the sets they mentioned rajshri went to a proper indian village bhopal not filmed in some city or foreign locales like every other films.
They even compared it to dostana etc but seriously not seen that movie cannot comment but half of the movies that come out nowadays are not watchable at all. Mean some movies especially have no story are about pretty face and costumes is that what we really want😕😕😕...is that all movies are about now. For me i thought movies were all the point they weremaking through it and whether they entertain or not. Not just about how good they look mean who wants to look at a pretty face if storylines rubbish.
BTW that k soap fan and vivah bit made me laugh especially since its got nothing to do with it my view is either you love rajshri movies or hate them simple has.
Now i wanted to know what you guys think what kind of movies would you generally prefer to watch??

If you can entirely endure reruns of Vivah even today, chances are you can sit at least half way through Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi . Such simplistic and linear storytelling used to induce smile a decade back. Today we only laugh at them.

The characterizations are too idealistic to be believable or relatable in today's flawed materialistic world.

This movie is strictly not for multiplex audiences at all who will pull their hair out in boredom if they see the film.Even audiences in the single screen theatre weren't exactky pleased. It is also not for fans of Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Vivaah. EVAB is like a feature length soap opera so fans of K serials might like it.
It amazes me how Rajshri movies look so old and dated (like a mid 90s flick) even today in the times of flicks like Dostana and EMI which look so fresh and colourful.

Nope because our local cinema does not show asian movies if i get a chance to go to another will go for sure.

Yeh they are sweet indian love storys which critics seem to hate and prefer scantily clad people in films with no story..

Critics are fine if they do proper reviews even if they do not like them not for stupid reasons.

i prefer the simple but sweet rajshri movies to the so called modern movies where there is all style but no substance, which barely stay in your mind for a few seconds , whereas i find most rajshri movies touch your heart by their sheer simplicity, so you remember them long after the film is released.

Hmm. Rajshri movies are a lot different than the movies today. All the Indian movies I catch on TV appear a pathetic attempt to look "modern" "bold" "western" and they end up looking ridiculous. Rajshri movies are more traditional, old, and that's what sets them apart from all these movies combined. We are Indians, and our past generations have seen conservative, traditional, family oriented people just because we catch movies like Dhoom 2 with Ash dancing around in mini skirt does not mean we have become modern, bold, western. At heart we are Indians, and we will always stay Indian. These movies serve as a reminder to me personally of what we have lost, the culture we have lost, and the rigurous attempts daily (celebs included) to appear more western!

I agree with you none of the movies apart from a few exceptions stick out in you mind....definetly rajshri movies stick in your mind and stick you with way after because they touch a chord.

They definetly are different because they stick to culture, values like you said. As for the westernised indian movies none of them are impressive BAH being the exception. Dhoom worked because of its story if you take that away it has nothing and bipasha was more appreciated that her anyways as far as i gather. Yeh definetly rajshri movies definetly remind you of whats been lost even more so when you see them been bashed simply because of that😕...fact that they work like sooraj-ji said that still somewhere people have asian-ness.
