Hmm. Rajshri movies are a lot different than the movies today. All the Indian movies I catch on TV appear a pathetic attempt to look "modern" "bold" "western" and they end up looking ridiculous. Rajshri movies are more traditional, old, and that's what sets them apart from all these movies combined. We are Indians, and our past generations have seen conservative, traditional, family oriented people just because we catch movies like Dhoom 2 with Ash dancing around in mini skirt does not mean we have become modern, bold, western. At heart we are Indians, and we will always stay Indian. These movies serve as a reminder to me personally of what we have lost, the culture we have lost, and the rigurous attempts daily (celebs included) to appear more western!
I totally respect your opinion and it is right as well but just that bit which I highlighted is my focus.....if the whole fragment of Indian culture is getting overshadowed by modernity than why illustrate your point by using one actress...why wouldn't you for instance comment on the type of story that Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna was? What moral did it have? Was it to do anything for love? Break all the barriers?
And if you specifically mention mini skirt basically I presume that you are implying about shedding clothes/exposure, than once again why make a woman a scapegoat...why not raise a point about Salman forever taking his shirt off of John or even SRK in OSO? Just because a lot of people here like them and hate Ash? Because they are men and she is woman? Is that point of yours a one sided opinion which lacks any solid foundation?
