Rajshri movies are more traditional, old, and that's what sets them apart from all these movies combined. We are Indians, and our past generations have seen conservative, traditional, family oriented people just because we catch movies like Dhoom 2 with Ash dancing around in mini skirt does not mean we have become modern, bold, western. At heart we are Indians, and we will always stay Indian. These movies serve as a reminder to me personally of what we have lost, the culture we have lost, and the rigurous attempts daily (celebs included) to appear more western!

I totally respect your opinion and it is right as well but just that bit which I highlighted is my focus.....if the whole fragment of Indian culture is getting overshadowed by modernity than why illustrate your point by using one actress...why wouldn't you for instance comment on the type of story that Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna was? What moral did it have? Was it to do anything for love? Break all the barriers?

And if you specifically mention mini skirt basically I presume that you are implying about shedding clothes/exposure, than once again why make a woman a scapegoat...why not raise a point about Salman forever taking his shirt off of John or even SRK in OSO? Just because a lot of people here like them and hate Ash? Because they are men and she is woman? Is that point of yours a one sided opinion which lacks any solid foundation?

I don't trust them either. Whoever puts Vivah down needs a reality check. BEST MOVIE EVER, the most BEAUTIFUL love story.

Agree with you its there reasons as well..its fair enough not liking it but to not like for no real reason is stupid.

I think KANK was showing reality to be honest people do have affairs for no real reason...i think its not just to do with exposure but story. If its a good story then clothes fit it will work. OSO worked not for srks 6-pack but because it was really a traditional masala movie.
She was not having a go at women do not think just trying to say that just because dhooms done well and lets be honest they always focus on women in bikini whether its esha, ash or bips it does not mean we just want topless people.

I can't stand Rajshri movies. I find them regressive and super cheesy.

and someone asked who didn't like Vivah *Raises hand*..I didn't like it.. it was full of cliches and i don't wish to watch the female lead who only looks down and keeps quiet most the movie.

i would much rather watch a well made movie with scantily clad women than some corny caricature of so called "desi culture" full of cheese and cliched moments..

i don't like cringing for 3 hours what with weepy characters that are too docile and sweet for their own good and some annoying family pet (TUFFY WTF) and half baked plot and lame dialogues, dated camera work and direction..etc etc

that isn't my cup of chai..no thanks..

I love sad film, action(hardly any action films in bolly), horror... but.. bollywood is limited but limitless in love stories.. . I hate cheesy films and over the top comedy film. I like masala films... but mostly they tend to go over top...
but anywho, any movie with Rajesh Khanna or Waheeda Rehman is a treat to watch :P...
