The storyline and characters are similer to Ramesh Sippy's hit serial of 90's Buniyad.
It also had backdrop of lahor and activities of freedaom fighters
The hero's ('Thin' Aloknath of Bidai) was shown a school teache and follower of Lala lajpat ray (Lion of Punjab). Hero was from rich familiy and his father was also a merchant, his bother and brother's wife were selfish!
The heroin Lajo (Anita Kanwar) was also orpahn and freind of Hero's sister
She was also forcefully married to 'Old' guy ( C P Dubey). The old fellow dies on the first night making lajo a widow! She was then sent back by her in-laws ('Manhus!)
The hero then marries to widow (which was also against social systems preveling that time), leaves his family for the same.
Let's watch if MRD follows the same path.
But the poor girl Kranti is suferring a lot due to Raj!
