17th September 08 Written Update

everyone is downstairs! Kaveri tries to ask where Alka is and whats wrong with her! Bua makes up a lie that her father has cancer! Everyone is shocked! Bua then puts on fake tears and says that she couldn't see her state and that she is in the mandir praying! Bua then continues to say that Alka doesnt know that treatment is done with money these days and not prayers! Bua says that her parents are poor so cannot afford it and the doctor is asking for 2 lakhs! Ganga then says that, that's why Alka was so troubled this morning, and if Bua has told her earlier she would have arranged for the money! Bua then puts on another act and says she didnt want her to see Alka's tears on a day of happiness for her! Ganga goes up to Bua and says that Alka is like her sister, she will phone the cashier who will give Puttan 2 lakhs! Bua puts on more tears and asks Ganga will she pay for all the treatment! Ganga says that in times of trouble, you need your family, and not to worry everything will be fine! Bua then says to Puttan that you heard what she has said! Puttan says yes ans thanks her saying that she had a big heart! everyone faintly smiles! Bua then tells Puttan to not waste time and to get the money and send it to Alka's house and start the treatment tomorrow! She continues to say that she has to go to the Roka with everyone, but he should take good care of Alka!
• At RM house everyone is doing Aarti! First Shakuntala does it! Then the Aarti is given to Rhaul and Ganga! Rahul puts his hand on Ganga's, but she slides her hand away! Rahul notices this, but continues with the Aarti, as Ganga continues to be uncomfortable!

Puttan is at the laywers office and gives him the money! The lawyer asks how he got the money as yesterday he didnt have the money! Puttan laughs and says that the work must be done by tomorrow! The lawyer then goes to give Puttan the original file! But Puttan tells him to keep it! He then gets up and thinks that if Minisha doesn't find the file he will be accused! He turns back and takes the file back! The lawyer seems worried and confused! Shagun is being given to Rahul and Ganga! First Shakuntala says that she is happy as Jhanvi as stepped into the house for the first time as Rahul's partner! She then does their Aarti and give Ganga a present! Saagar looks on with happiness and sadness at the same time! Shubodh then give Shagun followed by Saagar! When Saagar goes to give it to Rahul, he stares at Ganga and thinks: today i have realised your pain Ganga! who the heart considers it's own, it is very difficult to give it to someone else! They look at each other, Saagar then comes back to reality and gives the Shagun to Rahul and congratulates him! Kaveri then gives Shagun to Rahul, she does his Aarti and then says that Jhanvi is lucky as she has found someone who is looking at her right now like he wont let her go today! she laughs and asks Saagar if its true! Saagar just smiles and doesnt say anything! Everyone laughs, while Kaveri give the Shagun to Rahul! Saagar just looks on with discomfort and pain inside! The priest then says that the Roka is complete, everyone claps! Rahul and Ganga then get up to get Shakuntala's blessings and Bua's! Ganga then also gets Shubodh's blessings! Ganga then hugs Kaveri, while Saagar smiles! Shakuntala says to Ganga that today has brought happiness and she can see it on her face! She then tells her to go and put Diya's around the house and gives her a plate! Shakuntala also tells Rahul to go with her!
• Rahul and Ganga come into a room! Ganga puts a Diya down, while Rahul looks on from behind! Ganga is then going out, but is stopped by Rahul! He says that people have gave her one thing or another for Shagun, so now he will also give her something! Ganga looks kind of puzzled/concerned about this!

Rahul presents the Bangles in front of Ganga! He tells her to wear then and fulfil Shakuntala's dream! Ganga is still stunned! She slowly takes the bangles! She then looks at Rahul and says that she is really good-fated that Mother loves her this much! Rahul smiles and says not just love, these bangles are also Mother's belief/faith! Ganga is shocked at this! Rahul continues to say that from Jhanvi coming into their lives has brought happiness! Ganga shocked! Rahul then continues to say that she has taught their eyes to see dreams again! Ganga shocked! Rahul smiles! He then slowly turns away and starts to walks towards the bed and says that he has also bought some land to build a farmhouse! Ganga is shocked, she has tears swelling up in her eyes! Rahul continues to say that it will be far, in the laps of the clouds, in the natural mountains! A tear rolls down Ganga's face! She then has a flashabck of her and Saagar and Gudiya talking about their dream house! Tears continue roll down Ganga's face and Rahul continues to talk and smiles! He then turns around and sees the tears on Ganga's face! He is shcoked! Ganga continues to be in her own world, as tears roll down her cheeks! Rahul looks on with distress! Rahul walks up to Ganga, he calls her and she comes out of her trance! He then questions her tears! Ganga gets nervous and just wipes the tears! Ganga then says nothing she just remembered something! Rahul is shocked! Ganga is about to walk away when Rahul grabs Ganga's arm and stops her! he turns her towards her and asks her if she is happy with the wedding and this relation! Ganga is shocked at first and then looks down and says that everyone's happiness is her happiness! Rahul is shocked by this! they look at each other and then look away, not being able to face each other! Ganga then says that the other Diya's have to be placed, so she goes! Rahul is then left thinking! Ganga is in the hall, when Shubodh asks her where Rahul is as the Pooja is starting! Ganga stutters, Shubodh tells her not to worry he will find him! Ganga is left uneasy! Shubodh then goes into Rahul's room and calls out his room! He sees Rahul at the window and is confused by this! He goes up to him and tells him to come downstairs as everyone is waiting for the pooja! Rahul with some anger says that he wants to ask Shubodh something! Shubodh asks what! he asks if there was deep love between Shekhar and Ganga! Shubodh is shocked by this and responds by saying that it was nothing like that! Shubdoh continues to say with some discomfort that Jhanvi was a widow soon after the Pheras, there was no time for the love to develop! Rahul is shocked by this! Rahul then says before the wedding! Shubodh says if he wants to know if there was love between them beofre the marriage then no! He continues to say that the wedding was a compromise and that it was only for a relation for Gudiya! Rahul is shocked by this! Shubodh says that Jhanvi respected Shekhar and Gudiya saw her as a mother! Rahul continues to be shocked! Shubodh says that there was hardly anytime after marriage for the love to develop and there was no relation like that! Shubodh puts his hand on Rahul's shoulder and says that really he is Jhanvi's first husband and tells him to go down! Rahul slowly nods and they go downstairs! downstairs Shubodh tells Rahul to come as the Aarti will start! Rahul stops at the back and thinks: Shubodh you don't understand, i can never be Jhanvi's first love, because ... that is someone else! (Saagar and Ganga are shown doing Aarti, with Rahul standing inbetween behind them!) But then who is that person who's memories are still fresh in Jhanvi's heart and mind! Who is it? (A shock sequence on his face!) Who is it, who is still alive in Jhanvi's memories? (Ganga and RM are shown, then Saagar and RM!) Is he a gone past, Or???
