So, ok, I was being facetious.

That comes from my being disappointed as you can well imagine. But alas it is a show. However, with a personality and world view like mine, I can't help but to react. I'll get over it, though it may take me more time than the one month it takes Yuv and Trish to get over each other.

I should have seen the writing on the wall when Trish and Rajdeep consummated their wedding. Because, then they MUST stay together. Otherwise, the decency or "what is wrong, what is right" brigade would be out in full force.

From my caustic remarks about Yuv and Tanya (which still stand btw), you should know that this track has been the wackiest I've seen, although I suspect I will see many more the more I watch other shows. I believe this show makes a mockery of love, in some ways, by showing how easily replacable it is. Just throw into the mix new people, shake it up a little, and bam! You've got a partner swap, new lives. And really not for a good reason.

As many of you thought and as I feared and fought, it appears the "soulmates" will be together 😆 . Should have inferred this from Baba's words, though he was ambiguous.

One of the things I thought might be different on Vivaah given the tracks was that it would explore vivaahs and people finding their own way. Not the case. I do hope one day that the serials in part reflect reality a bit. And I am not condoning affairs, divorces, etc. but they happen for very human reasons.

So, Vivaah, jumped the shark, as they say. Copped out. Did not try to think or explore. Did not test waters. Just introduced an absolutely absurd scenario (Yuv marrying Tanya for "salvation") and preached: Look how people who didn't even want to marry each other, made it work, fell in love, and lived happily ever after. Tell some people I know and they'll tell you how true this is (arranged and love marriages).

So I think I am going to have to swallow the bitter truth, retract my claws a bit, and put my whip to another deserving character: Kul. The perpetually unsatisfied golddigger who loves her daughters, natch. My wonder pair is no more. RIP. 😭 😭 😭

I am eagerly waiting for your wonderful post!😳

I really loved today! I wasn't expecting it, but wow! It blew me away!😭

Ok now I have more time to write.

Soaps have their own set rules. And they rarely do something different. Even if the original story is separated by 19 / 20 they follow pretty much the same rule.

There have been times when couple got separated and then gotten back together. But it is soo soo soo rare that 1st love is shown as the true love. (unless they are already married) It never happens. Part of the reason why Trish and Yuvi's love looked like puppy love to me.

I know I wouldn't lose hope as a Yuvish fan but it was so obvious it was the end of Trish and Yuvraj the day he married Tanya. Not because shows don't break marriages but because the way he married her. If he preplanned it, or did something like break up with trish and then marry Tanya to show he was a traitor so she can move on happily, there still would've been a chance for Yuvish fan. But the way he married, the whole beat kanaiyah up then fill her maang, it was so dramatic. In soap world that means they are really meant to be together. then when he dragged her, it was crystal clear that this marriage will stay! Couple that are meant to break don't get that dramatic scenes.

I do agree with your thoughts and they definitely "jumped the shark" as it were. Too bad here in the states when a show does that its usually off the air soon. Unfortunately, Vivaah is no doubt here to stay, however, I don't have to watch it. And I won't.

You should be thankful it is not "K" serial because Yuv and Trish will still be yearning for each other and get married eventually for love and mock the institution of marriage completely.

I agree with Perfangel5655.
That they dramatized and hopefully these marriage are for stay and they will make it work. Though I do not agree with lot of things in the serial but still going by name of the serial I do not want it to make fun of marriages. At least try to make a marriage work. That's all I ask.

This serial is much better on taste buds after having sour taste from "K" serials.

Call it my shortcoming, but how did Trishna come to the realization she loved Deep and was committed to their marriage within days of being emotionally tortured about what was happening? Was it the snow? Freezing conditions that froze her brain? It's almost as if she "talked herself" into believing in this marriage and her hidden desire to make it work.

God, aside from his annoying self-sacrifices, Yuv just got over it too. No more tears about Trishna. Wishing everyday she is happy in her marriage, that he partially forced her into. Doesn't he want to be with Trishna?

I'm livid. I actually don't watch the episodes anymore but will read updates every so often. I have a feeling that when I do, I'm going to want to hit myself and say "why do I even bother?"

And now everyone is living happily ever after. The end, oh except Deep's mom. Oh, didn't see that one coming!!!!
