Hi, I just joined the forums. Actually I'm quite pissed from last few days from "Indian citizens". I'm 19 and from Chandigarh. Does someone else feels like me that India is just killing herself? Why are Indians so lazy? Why are we so mean? I feel so depressed when I see the position of our country now compared to other economies like China.

Read this article for instance, we are very poor, INDIA still have worlds 1/3th poor.

http://www.wfp.org/country_brief/indexcountry.asp?country=356

Its totally different story in states like Bihar, we still have caste system and 'untouchables'. What is most annoying is dumb people, sorry i don't have anything against this guy but look what he just posted and i found it on first page:

Actually India- US nuclear deal is a blessing for India. He doesn't even know how much we lag behing in power sector. If we want more industries here in India we need to produce ALOT more electricity and from our current standards we arn't enough for our own requirements. Althogh we don't have any cut here in chandigarh but for those hard working farmers in punjab outside cities its like 10 hour electric cut daily. We can make more coal and oil electric plants but it'll create massive amount of polution.
BJP says its bad so its bad, uh? Can someone ask BJP whats the use of nuclear isolation when our country can't even manufacture enough uranium for our puny current generators and future planned ones? We wanna make nuclear weapon but the problem is we don't have fuel. How funny. =\
We wanna make "nuclear bombs" when half of the country goes to bed empty stomach. =[

As an Indian I'm not even sure we need nuclear weapons, it took 4 days for our government to issue attack orders at kargil, thats hell long if in any case nuclear battle started.

Another thing I see is Indians trying to fight on sites with Chinese over who is better. Just go to youtube.com and search for India vs China and see those silly comments yourself. I don't see any point, we just think if we have couple of good cities like mumbai (asia's largest slum) we are over China. No, China have already overtaken us alot, maybe they are now what we will be in next 10-20 years at this development rate. Accept it, we lost, BADLY but its not too late. We are youth and we can make the difference. Stop running to US or UK, whats the use when they consider you as a slave or black guy? We need new breed of young politions and I wanna tell the youth to wake up. Our grandparents got independence for us and made us proud, now its our turn to make them proud. It won't change in a day but we can start it at our personal level. I try to educate as many people I can, I know most of them won't even care, including few in my very own family but I don't care, if any youth read this and got inspired not to use bribery or any other unfair means, I'll feel like I have successed.

P.S. And one more request, if you ever see any begger, never give him money, instead but something like banana or patty for him to eat.

Thanks for your time and Jai hind.

The views expressed are a very cynical vision of India.
