I didn't really find anything wrong in Shankar admitting to his family. According to him, Gayathri isn't understanding his emotions and the way he thinks and so he felt the need to confide in his family - nothing wrong in that. But maybe Yashoda should have tried to make Gayathri understand more gently instead of giving it to her like a lecture.

yes i agree that there is some imoprtant disition betwen h and w but i think if there is a wrong desition then it depand to all family and i think grandparents have a big roll in familly we are eastern peopel not western..

Yes, most things should remain between husband and wife, but with a pregnancy that has already been broadcast to the family, it's hard to cover it up, e.g. miscarriage, etc. While grandparents and family do not have a RIGHT per se in these matters, they do have a VESTED INTEREST and they love the children of their children. I think Shankar was shocked at Gayatri's decision, and her obstinacy. I guess he was reaching out to people he felt she would listen to.

Too much drama in this Shankar and Gayatri thing. I''m waiting for the day when she's out of the picture.
