Bipasha Basu is upset. She can't understand why people are making a big deal about her pairing with the younger and much-in-demand Ranbir Kapoor in Bachna Ae Haseeno.
Of course, Bips does admit that she is older than Ranbir, but so what? "A woman doesn't reach her 30s and you call her old. Yet a man who's 50 can romance a girl who's 14 or 16! Why is there such a bias?" she asks with a frown.
The actor, who's never looked in better shape than now, isn't amused that people tend to write off an actor when she reaches her 30s.
"If late 20s is old, what is 60s? Are only 16-year-old kids supposed to do films? What is two years elder or five or even 10? Does it look strange on screen? No it doesn't. I'm working with Neil Nitin Mukesh who's two years younger than me, Ranbir must be four years younger, but so what? Aishwarya has married a man three years younger, is that a big deal? Do they look like misfits? I find these discussions very strange. I can't tell you how many people have said that I'm looking the best with Ranbir," she said.
