Excerpts from the Interview:
Your next release will be Rohan Sippy's 'Bluffmaster'. Tell us something more about your association with the director.
Rohan and I are friends from our school days. Two years ago he made his directorial debut with the film 'Kuch Naa Kaho' and I played the lead along with Aishwarya in the film. This is his second film and I play the lead here again. He is a contemporary filmmaker and can keep his cool even if the earth is splitting.
Elaborate 'Bluffmaster', telling about your character and the film.
It is a comedy, full of sharp twists and light moments to keep you glued to the screen. A very fresh concept to come on the screen. My character is a complex one in the film, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Other than me there is Ritesh Deshmukh, Boman Irani, Nana Patekar and Priyanka Chopra - all of them good and talented bunch of actors. Working with such star cast always takes the best out of you. Roy Kapoor, my character is of a con, a chatter who can change the shape of the world with his words. I can talk and have my way out in the oddest situation. This is something that I'm doing for the first time and it was fun all the way.
You've been fantastic with your moves in the film too.

Are you happy that the audience has accepted you and your films are a regular success at the box office now?
The three hits of mine 'Dhoom', 'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Sarkar' are very much diverse from each other. And I'm really happy that the audience has appreciated my work. It feels fantastic at the end.
What do you have to say about the changing trend in Indian cinema?
The film industry has been growing over the years. The actors are growing with it. And the audience are appreciating cinema more than ever. God works and good actors are appreciated now. If the films are well made, the filmmaker can be rest assured that the people will accept it. Multiplexes have also contributed a lot by supporting the offbeat films. 'Black', 'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Salaam Namaste' is a witness to the change of thought of the filmmakers and the Indian audience.
How is the work in Karan Johar's 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' progressing?
We're currently shooting for the film in New York. During my college I've been here and I'm really in awe of the place. I love walking on the streets, walk to Central Park or go to a roadside caf. I want to watch shows on Broadway and catch a few movies. My family is here and we're having quite a good time here. In the film I play a PR, bn Indian who is brought up in New York. Karan Johar has guided me to get into the skin of the role. I had to put in my 100% and be honest to the character I could. The script is powerful and the film is built on family fundamentals.

You call it confidence, I call it comfortable. My shots are more relaxed and natural for this reason. I had worked in quite a number of films, have got into many odd ones. Hope I'm on the right track now. There was lot of insecurity when my films weren't doing to well. There is still some now.
What are you other films?
There are many films in the pipeline. There is one with J P Dutta which will be my third film with him. With Ram Gopal Varma I'm doing two more films.
