Isn't is disgrace to see that a husband has burnt his wife after she gave birth to the 5th daughter. Do you think the sons are more important in the lives of the parents than girls. I do still think that daughters do care more, give more love and affection to parents. Just for the sake of dowery, or the son to take further the Family tree, is more important in ones life. If females are not there where will the family tree come from, secondly ones mother, sister, wife and aunties and daughters are all females. So why are we so biased for the other half our community. Shame really !!😭

but i think this misconception is changing
especially with girls getting equal education and sometimes even earning more than men...parents have started to realise that having daughters is a blessing not a burden..
phir bhi aise log to har jagah hote hain...jinke dimag mein yeh baat tikti nahin
what i find most sad is...that these kinda ppl are not punished...
it comes in the media..they make a big deal of it..adn then what??..he''l just happily marry another woman..
law enforcement jaise cheez hi nahi hai india mein

not in my house. aside from my dad, there is no boy in the family. we're perfectly happy, though.

It has become rare, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen anymore at all.

I agree that because of us girls, we are growing families and the world population and it's a shame that people aren't happy whenever they have a daughter instead of a son. I heard this story from my mom.
I do agree that daughters do have more love and affection towards parents more than sons do and it's really true and my mom told me the samething. I am a daughter and a sister so I know what this means.
I think some people are still growing up with the traditions and they don't want to break it so that could be the reason possible in why they kill the daughters as of still today living in the 21st century.

I don't understand how the men that do this can remove themselves from the fact that they have a mother or a sister. How do they not think of the what if's, what if someone did this to their mother or sister, or even, for the man in the artical, what if he was the first son after five girls, and his father killed his mother before he was born.
I think both boys and girls are important as we can't continue with out each other.
