Karan Johar and Kajol boycotted by the media!
Celebrities and media have always been interdependent and both can't afford to upset each other. Unfortunately quite a few biggies don't realise this simple fact and end up playing perfect spoilsports.
Now 'too full of themselves' Karan Johar and Kajol aren't exactly media savvy and they proved that a few days ago on the book reading event of The Alchemist, which is to be adapted into a play by Ashwin Gidwani Productions.
Journalist-writer Deepa Gahlot has scripted the play while Sunil Shanbag will direct it.
Everybody waited patiently for the two to show up but they took it a bit too far and were more than two hours late.
The media weren't even offered any refreshments whatsoever. Getting into the bad books of the media can cost both of them a lot.
After the enormous wait and sensing that they might not get any interesting sound bytes from either Karan or Kajol, most of the journalists decided to pack their bags and leave.
Just as everybody left Karan Johar walked in with his spotless white shirt and Kajol too soon followed.
I really wonder how these people manage to complete their films. After all, their sense of timing is completely numb.
There was another such incident during the Bachchan's 'Unforgettable' tour press conference. One of the journalists asked Abhishek whether he would chill out during the tour.
Abhishek replied, "No, since we have to rehearse between the shows to improve our performances, there is no time to chill out".
The journalist went on to ask how he generally chills out.
To which Abhishek replied in a sarcastic tone, "I come to attend such press conferences".
I would to remind AB baby that such sarcasm won't go down well with the media.
With his next movie 'Drona' around the corner, a little apple polish wouldn't be such a bad idea!
