Teens in LOVEE!??!

Hey Friends😳

Well this is my first post within the debate section...so hello everyone :)

Now as for my topic-->

Last week I was visiting my sister in New York and I think it was last wednesday I took my niece to the mall and as we were walking to a shop....we happened to see these 2 teenagers (couple) holding hands walking. If only they looked older..I would have never mistaken them as a boyfriend&girlfriend..they were acting as if they were married. They looked so in love as well! I was quite shocked. I mean, i HAD seen couples before....and so what if they were indian? this was america...it didnt bug me too much that they were a couple....but it kinda caught my attention because i had never seen anything like this..they were SERIOUSLY acting like husband-wife.

Before I could say anything...my 15 year old niece started jumping up and down. I asked her what was it? And she replied "See masi! Those 2 people over there..they go to my school....the girl is in my english class, she's one of my good friends as well! Let me go say hello"😊

I watched my niece go up to her classmate and say hello...but something bugged me...she called the boy "jeejaji" =/

Once she got back....I asked her abt them. She replied saying that they have been dating for the past 2 years..they are deeply in love. As i told you the girl is a good friend of mine..her name is Payal. And the boy is 2 grades ahead of us..he is a junior and he also attends the same school and his name is Rohit. They are good family friends...and they plan on getting married..which is why i called my rohit 'jeejaji'

I was shocked. The girl was as old as my niece- 15. and the boy--17. and here they were talking about marriage. hai bhagwan..they have like 10 more years until that happens!

But now my question to you is that...is it rlly possible for teens to be in love?? I mean, we all consider these teen crushes 'infatuation' etc etc. No one ever thinks that teens can fall in love at such a young age..we all overlook it and say "ohh its just a crush..nothing else..they will get over it!" but look at Rohit-Payal. they have been dating for 2 years and their love is flourishing....(i mean come on..these kiddos are already thinking about MARRIAGE!)😕

can teens be in love? or are rohit-payal just 'crushing' and seeing dreams?

NVM.. Thr r ppl who I know are going together from the early childhood like when they were in 6th or 7th 😆 Now the girl is working and still is with him 😆

Its just infatuation and in teenage esp this is prone to happen.. Teenage love is a different experience all together is what I have heard from ppl 😆 Some are successful, but mostly they just get broken in the midway..

I honestly see no harm in it. It is quite cute actually. Part of the growing process.

as long as the love is true...age doesnt matter.

it can be, like love can happen at any age with any one!! but it can be just a crush too!
and they are very young too!!

I don't think age has anything to do with it.. it's the maturity. You can fall in love even in your teenage years... it's really up to you to decide whether it was/is love or just a crush...

teens know nothing about love, its just events (feeling ) that teens go through.

Well things like this do happen...this is just an instance of acting as wife - hubby...there are even more - like attenting your bf's cousins marriage saying that you have to be there 😆 😆
and well lemme tell u even I am 15 and the people I talk of are also 15...

I guess due to media...people have well been matured and so gained a mental maturity at an early age...Infatuations turn strong and then turns to dating and then promises...
bt nt to say that if God Forbid these dreams breaks...there are mishaps...

for this couple - I will say may they have a gr8 life ahead...and you dnt worry...its common even in India..
