Bani was there because Pia blackmailed the Walia family by using a tape that showed Sahil saying that he was killed by Bani. Pia told Walia family to go against Bani in court by saying she is mentally ill, which caused her to kill Sahil. this would prevent her from being hanged or put in jail for a long time---i forget which---and instead it would have Bani in a mental asylum...where she gave birth to Krishna & Atharva.
So, she was there because the Walia family went against her in court unwillingly by holding her responsible for Sahil's death because she was mentally ill.
