1 child policey mite be benefitting china's government however they have no right to restrict anyone's freedom. This is like restricting the freedom of parents and this is completely a voliation of humand rights.

Are you for or against such a policy being implemented in India?

See population control is important no doubt but controlling population by voliating human rights is completely wrong.😳

Was this the right move for the chinese goverment at that time?

Maybe it was. We can never be fully aware of the circumstances and problems to comment on dis.

Should these type of policies be allowed?

No.😳 However population control shud be encouraged.😳

Overall, did this benefit or hinder China?

This only china knows..😆

You know on the whole , I'm for most things that advocate considering the benefit to all (the so called "greater good") and not just for oneself

Having children is the exception.

If I am prepared to earn for, raise and be responsible for any number of children I choose to have, what is it to anyone????

If I raise hem well, educate them, they will hopefullt go ona nd work and contribute back via tax and skills to the very scum that is trying to stop their existence form occurring.

Doesnt this seem to be a bit one-sided here????

I say butt out of my personal life on this issue.

Incidentally, I find it insulting that people who live in other countries, aprticularly western or first world countried think they have the right to dictate how countries such as India should deal with this issue. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!!!!!

I might have more persuaded by thier stances if they had advocated for greater rights to education for the poorer people than advocating one-kid mandatory policy.
Greater education allows people to make informed
decisions - how dare you assume its right and/or proper to impose such policies??

Arrgh!

😡 M 😡

I am against this policy, because its a major personal decision of each individual family.

however the govenment can spread awareness by educating ppl

Was this the right move for the chinese goverment at that time?

No, like I said before, its a personal issue,

however awareness can be spread through education

Should these type of policies be allowed?

It can be a part of politics, but the goverment has no right to force anyone to do anything that is personal

Overall, did this benefit or hinder China?

I don't think so, its still the most populated country in the world 😛
