Priyanka’s really a friend, no more: Harm

He is 28. Has assisted his father on several film projects.

And at the moment, he is nail-bitingly nervous. That self-assured screen scorcher you see romancing Priyanka Chopra in reel life ( Love Story 205 0) insists that the one thing that's irritating him more than anything else these days is the comparison to Hrithik Roshan! Harman Baweja, who's being hailed in film circles as one of the most promising newcomers in the Bollywood block, rues, "I am surprised people are not tired of comparing me to Hrithik. When I get up in the morning, I only see myself in the mirror." ( Watch)

His debut film, claims Harman, has been a true labour of love, sweat and toil. "There is so much hard work and money that's gone into this film. There was a time when we had no money to put into the film and just joked around keeping each other happy thinking that destiny will decide the fate of the film!" says the dashing goodlooker.

Even before his debut film hits the screens, the teasers have ensured that he's got lead roles in films like Victory, Aneez Bazmee's next and Ashutosh Gowarikar's What's your Raashee?

The other thing that upsets Harman no end, is when people label him as Priyanka Chopra's boyfriend. "I think Priyanka is a great actor and co-star. The tabloids have been speculating about our 'romance' for years now, so even if I say she's only a friend, no one will believe me anymore. She's really a friend, no more," he says.

Any plans of getting married to someone like Priyanka? "I am too young to think of marriage. Honestly speaking, the idea of marriage scares me," he admits

Harman, who weighed 96 kgs and had a 36" inch waist before joining films, was so addicted to work that he used to think of only two things: "Work and Eat". It was only after he decided to be an actor that he chose to "get" his "act together".
For Harman, happiness means "wearing blue jeans and white shirt and chilling with mom", playing video games and just spending time with family. Would he like to dabble in direction? "I think after this film, I will be in a position to direct a film," he jokes.

That's the kind of confidence that defines him best.
