There's nothing logical about this show. Which woman in reality would continue to serve her abusive ex in-laws and husband after divorce? Any woman with a shred of self-respect would have ran in the opposite direction the moment she ended her toxic marriage. Even Vanraj Shah got fed of his freeloader family and escaped. But Anupamaa Shah still continue to serve these people, even at the cost of her second marriage and the child she adopted.
It was so great to see Vasundhara totally wreck Jhuli Mawali. And can we please talk about the fact that the organizers actually brought out a real lie detector test for Phaltu Prem and both the Upmaas—Badi and Choti? A polygraph test in a daily soap family drama—because nothing says "high quality television" like a cheap, desperate Bigg Boss knockoff. Phaltu Prem is a total loser who is completely useless; even his dad, Pan Parag, and his uncle, Anil, look way better than him. Meanwhile, "Saint Khyati" is still just a blind follower of Badi Upmaa.
This trash show could have ended with the #ApMaAn wedding to give a simple message: "You can find true love and respect at any age." Or, it could have ended when Badi Upmaa shocked everyone by walking out on her marriage just because her second husband finally grew a spine and called out her terrible priorities. That exit could have left us with a funny lesson: a painful first marriage is "sacred" because of her silly line, "A piece of paper cannot break a relationship," but a second chance at true love is just a temporary setup with a quick expiration date—thanks to her line, "This relationship has reached its expiry date, Kapadia Ji." The nerve of this trashy Badi Upmaa is unreal, especially when she lectures Shru on how to be a mother. Yet, the clueless writers still want to trick the audience into believing that Shru—who actually cared for and gave emotional security to Aadhya / Choti Upmaa—is the worst mother, while Badi Upmaa—who never had five minutes or any real love for her adopted daughter—is the best mother ever.
