Could be, according to the drama - the rebirth didn't happen and Xue Fangfei did take revenge for both Jiang Li and herself

Mostly in this type, the owner of the body has already reached the depths of despair. The new soul then takes over the body, giving the soul a second chance as well as the owner. As the soul changes the course of that life, the original owner's fate is also redeemed in a way. It's like killing two birds with one stone. The soul gets another opportunity to live and the owner is saved from their tragic end.

Oh you have but didn't finish Rebirth of a Star General. The part where she scared the shit out of her soul's husband was good

They've kept his signature purple robe, but they changed the color of his mask. Still, the black mask looks good too.

In Legend of the Female General, the second girl died because she couldn't move on after the man she loved married someone else.

She didn't go through the kind of suffering that would make me think she deserved a second chance at life, yet the heroine's soul ends up in her body.

Strangely, that concept still felt more believable to me.

With The Double, though, the logic feels a little odd.

I've only read two chapters, so I can't give a fair analysis yet. It's just my initial impression.

What I really liked about Legend of the Female General was the sibling bond and the sense of adventure.

But once the heroine joined the army, I gradually lost interest because the story started to feel predictable.

@red, This is my third rebirth novel.

I didn't finish Legend of the Female General I think I read up to around Chapter 40.

They go with what costume would look good on camera. Even Hua Cheng's costume in book was red dress and silver accessories but it was changed to red+black and yet Zhang Linghe rocked that look the chances of this drama getting released is low so you wouldn't have come across this one

Don't say that. They've put so much effort into making this drama, and the costumes look amazing.

Why wouldn't they release it?

Is the rebirth concept really the reason.

By the way, one of Zhang Linghe's dramas is also reportedly banned, and I honestly don't mind if it stays that way.

I really didn't like his look in that one.

The same goes for one of Chen Zheyuan's dramas I can't remember the title!

@Green both are same. It's Eternal Faith I'm talking about. And the drama isn't about rebirth

I went through all sorts of emotions with the novel, drama announcement and filming so that look would always be good to me

I thought you meant the Shen Miao adaptation might not get released.
