Alia still looks out of place trying to do action. And no, it’s not about her height or frame. She just doesn’t have that empowering presence to be convincing as someone who kicks everyone’s ass. On the top do that her dialogue delivery is over the top. In the words of Parineeti, she’s doing some filmy acting here.

Bobby is OK, whatever.

All Anil is doing is looking lost and confused in every frame he’s in.

Sharvari is hardly there.

And the fact that they showed Hrithik in the trailer itself is a huge tell as how everything about Alpha is being received so far.

All that being said, the glimpses of friendship between Alia and Sharvari’s characters seemed nice. If there’s more of that in the movie and less of Alia pretending she’s an action star, the movie might end up being better than the trailer.
