Yeah mera bhi nahi hai..i already have enough horror in daily life so i dont prefer such dramas but im watching only for leads
I watched The Princess Royal and found it average.
The fight scenes were also quite boring.
If someone watches 2026 costume dramas first and then goes back to dramas from 2023 or 2024, they might feel disappointed with the visuals, fight scenes, and costumes, just like I did.
But long time costume drama fans probably won’t have a problem with it.
After watching Pursuit of Jade, I realized how much Zhang Linghe has improved as an actor. Hairstyle also makes a big difference. Yan Zhang’s and Xie Zheng’s hairstyles suit him really well and make him look even more handsome.
In The Princess Royal, his wig looked terrible, and I found his acting quite boring.
It makes me wonder how the same actor was cast again in Our Generation.
In the first episode of Pursuit of Jade, the scene where Yan Zhang looks at Fan Changyu was amazing. The acting, direction, and scene setup were all excellent.
I have high hopes for The Road to Glory. From the bts visuals, it looks like they spent a lot on the sets.
The slow burn romance is really good, and the angst is even better (in the novel).
I just hope the director and editors handle it well because the middle episodes of a 40 episode drama can sometimes become very boring.

He lost so much of weight in POJ to get that chiselled face..hairstyle,innocent romance was all soo good..he hit jackpot with that show but second half was totally absurd to me..he looked so good as he suye in the best thing ..
I will wait for road to glory drama..let them serve angst

I liked Yan Zhang much more in the drama, but novel Xie Zheng felt better to me.
The extra chapters, however, were disappointing.
In Road to Glory, Xiao Li is great.
But the way the princess's character is written in the novel is enough to make your head hurt.
There's one scene that I doubt will be included in the drama because the way it is described is very graphic and would require a huge budget.
Xiao Li is chained up and kept inside a water prison.
Wen Yu tells the soldiers to put him in jail, but due to a misunderstanding, they lock him in the water prison instead.
While he's there, he refuses to eat or drink anything and keeps insisting on meeting the Princess.
His health gradually worsens. When the princess finds out, she rushes there immediately.
After two days , when Xiao Li finally wakes up, he notices a little girl in a cot beside him. She is babbling to herself and playing with the locket around her neck.
Aww, that scene is so cute! Wen Yu then tells him that she is their daughter, who is about two years old. I really loved that moment.

But I don't think the drama will include it in the same way because the child actress looks around six or seven years old to me, so that part will probably be changed.
