Samay Raina may have sparked fresh speculation about the return of India's Got Latent after a recent comment during the finale of the COB Revival chess tournament went viral online.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates on the second season of the comedy talent show, which was taken down earlier this year following a major controversy. While Samay did not officially announce a release date, many viewers believe he may have dropped a subtle hint during a post event interaction.

COB Revival, short for Comedians On Board Revival, marked the comeback of Samay's popular chess tournament that brought together comedians, content creators and influencers for over the board chess matches. The competition concluded with Prakhar Gupta emerging as the winner after a closely fought final. Samay Raina, Joel D'Souza and Vivek Desai were among the participants who reached the knockout rounds.

At the end of the event, Samay thanked both the audience and creators who participated in the tournament. Addressing the crowd, he said, "I'll be back next year with some big event again like this."

Soon after, someone from the audience appeared to ask for an update on India's Got Latent. Another attendee could be heard shouting, "Latent kab aa raha hai?" Responding to the question, Samay said, "Maine 14 June ko India's Got Latent shuru kiya tha."

The brief remark quickly caught attention online. A video of the moment was shared across social media platforms, with many users interpreting it as a possible clue about the show's return. One user wrote, "Samay Raina FINALLY reveals date of Latent Season 2!" Another commented, "Did Samay Raina just announce India's Got Latent Season 2 release date?"

However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the new season so far.

India's Got Latent made headlines earlier this year after guest judge Ranveer Allahbadia made an objectionable remark during an episode. The incident triggered widespread criticism and led to multiple complaints and FIRs against several people associated with the show, including Samay Raina and other panelists.

Following the backlash, the episode was removed and all episodes of the show were later taken down from YouTube.
