First Meeting

Khushi Kumari Gupta had no idea that the place she visited to speak with her sister Payal’s fiancé about the dowry would turn out to be the childhood home of Arnav Singh Raizada.
Nor did she know that a single visit to Sheesh Mahal would change her life forever.
Mistaken for a model at a fashion show being hosted there, Khushi was suddenly pushed onto the ramp before she could even explain herself. Surrounded by strangers and blinded by the spotlight, she stood frozen, uncertainty and nervousness written all over her face. Desperate to escape, she turned around, only for her dupatta to tangle around her feet.
In the very next moment, she stumbled forward and fell straight into the arms of Arnav Singh Raizada.
For a heartbeat, time seemed to stand still.
Khushi looked up into a pair of intense eyes, while Arnav found himself staring at a girl who clearly did not belong on his runway. Dressed in green when the event's theme was red, she appeared to him as the reason behind the chaos unfolding before his eyes.
What Khushi saw was an intimidating stranger.
What Arnav saw was a girl who had ruined his show.
His eyes burned with anger. Hers shimmered with fear.
Neither of them realized that this accidental encounter—the fall, the catch, the clash of two completely different worlds—was only the beginning of a story that would forever blur the lines between nafrat and mohabbat.

Diwali Night

A handsome Arnav in a Brown suit and Olive Green shirt abruptly stopped talking (on the phone) and walking as soon as his eyes landed on the magical scene in front of him. Khushi surrounded by 7 layers of diyas, bathed in their warm golden glow, clad in crimson red, with an expression of shyness, awareness and nervousness who pushed herself into the center of the 7 layers of diyas while lighting them one by one.
A request from Lavanya to help Khushi nudged Arnav towards Khushi. Very slowly and very delicately Arnav helped Khushi out of the 7 circles. Once she was out and Lavanya noticed the missing payal on Khushi's ankle, Arnav walked away, Khushi walked in the opposite direction not before looking back for Arnav. He already left that place in a hurry.
Arnav is warming up to Khushi. When he heard the significance of Khushi’s lost payal, he has decided to return it to Khushi which he safely tucked away in his wardrobe. Nani and Anjali’s intervention reminded him that his family is dreaming of his marriage with Lavanya.
Yet, like a moth to a flame, Arnav walked towards Khushi at the poolside. He tenderly fixed her sprained ankle and without letting her get up, he took the second payal out of his pocket and clasped it on her ankle.
The myriads of expressions on Khushi’s face mesmerized him yet again and pulled him towards her. When she hit the wall and stopped, Arnav held her face in his hands and without missing a beat tried to kiss an anxious and confused Khushi.
Aman’s phone call pulled him back from Khushi.
"This is not him. Why the hell did he do that? Why did he let Khushi effect him? This doesn’t fit in his carefully controlled life".
When Arnav was still trying to make sense of why he tried to kiss Khushi, the nasty comments on Lavanya’s stay at Shantivan and the insults directed at his family enraged Arnav even further and, in a haste, he announced his engagement with Lavanya making the whole Raizada family elated and Khushi dejected.
After the announcement he fully ignored Khushi and stepped away when she tried to question him for his actions at the poolside. His anger reached its peak when she nonchalantly congratulated him for his engagement without probing into why he tried to kiss her.
When he went back to Khushi’s home to return her wallet, he was polite with her family for two seconds and left their house not before declaring to Khushi that whatever happened between them in the evening doesn’t mean a thing. “Koyi farq nahi padta”

Dance Competitions

Khushi challenged Arnav that she will win the dance competition and take Nataraj Murthy home. When he was on their side and made sure they practiced day and night, how could the boys' side lose to Khushi? No way. He wouldn’t let it happen!
Anjali and Shyam were hosting the competition and Arnav just had to relax and watch the drama unfold, he meant the competition unfold.
He could clearly see that Khushi and her dance party lost their josh after watching Nani’s performance. Nani rocked the stage and earned 7 points for them. For whatever reasons, Buaji failed in the jugal bandi and Mami danced like a superstar.
In the break, Arnav wondered what NK was blabbering about. He would be happy if they lost? How dare he?
Arnav threatened him with his life if he lost the competition. The threat worked and NK performed like a rock star and earned 9 points. At the end of 3 performances, the Guptas were at 4 points and the Raizadas were at 23 points.
Akash kept disappearing and poor Anjali had to look for him whenever they had to make an announcement. It looked like Mami did something to make Buaji tipsy during the jugal bandi and Buaji took revenge by making Mami rub kajal on her face. Arnav found it unbelievable. These ladies were fighting like little kids.
The next performance was Khushi’s and she performed on 3 different song segments. The audience could not take their eyes off her. She ended the performance with "Didi Tera Devar Diwana" song. She incorporated Arnav’s habits into the song, making the Gupta family worried. When she ended the song by shooting a flower at him, there was a full-blown smile on Arnav’s face, making his family stunned.
They were like, "He laughed!"
Arnav laughed, so what? What was the big deal?
He had a confrontation with Khushi during the break. When she ended up in tears, he could not take it.
When it was time for the last performance by Khushi again, Payal was on the phone frantically calling someone. The person who was supposed to dance with Khushi hadn’t arrived. Shyam and NK made indirect offers to Khushi.
When time was running out and when the curtains were raised, lo and behold, Arnav’s legs took him to the stage where he performed with Khushi on "Teri Meri" song.
Khushi won 10 points each for both her performances and the girls' party was declared the winner.
NK was very upset with Arnav for helping the dushman party win the competition an hour after threatening him with his life if he lost.
Did Arnav care?
He could now boast to Khushi that she won only because of him. Everything was fair when it came to competitions between Khushi and him.
"Deal with it guys!"

First Kiss

"Jo Main Karoonga..."
Three simple words.
Yet in Arnav Singh Raizada's voice, they carried challenge, determination, and hope.
Just the night before, beneath the stars and music, he had finally shown her what she had longed to hear.
Farak padta hai.
And for the first time, both of them had stopped running from the truth. Months of denial, anger, misunderstandings, and stolen glances had finally broken apart under the weight of feelings too powerful to hide.
Yet Khushi was still retreating.
Still pretending.
Still trying to outrun what her heart had already accepted.
When Arnav caught hold of her dupatta, her hand instinctively flew to her neck.
"Aap..."
The protest died on her lips.
She saw him was crouched before her, holding the end of her dupatta with a stubborn determination she knew all too well.
"Chhodiye..." she requested softly.
His jaw tightened.
"Kyun?"
The question struck her harder than she expected.
For days she had demanded answers from him.
Why does it matter?
Why do you care?
Why do you stop me?
Now he was asking her the same question.
And for once, she had no answer.
Because they both knew the truth.
This wasn't about a piece of fabric. It was about the invisible thread binding them together.
Arnav's eyes gleamed with challenge.
"Tum sab kuch khud kar sakti ho na?"
A dare.
Khushi immediately bristled.
"Haan! Main kar sakti hoon!"
Without taking his eyes off her, he slowly wound the dupatta around his hand, drawing her closer with each turn.
One step.
Then another.
Until there was barely any space left between them.
Her heartbeat thundered in her ears. His gaze never left her face.
The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only two stubborn hearts standing at the edge of surrender.
Then, his voice dropped to a whisper.
"Jo main karoonga... kya tum woh kar paaogi?"
Khushi's breath caught.
She didn't know what he planned.
Didn't know why her heart was racing so fast.
But she knew one thing.
She could do whatever the challenge was.
Closing her eyes briefly, she nodded
Arnav smiled.
Not because he had won. But because, for the first time, she was no longer running away.
He leaned in slowly, his gaze never leaving hers, and pressed a gentle kiss against her flushed cheek.
It was soft, lingering for only a moment, yet it carried months of unspoken emotions. Khushi's eyes fluttered shut instantly, her breath catching as warmth spread across her face.
Arnav drew back just enough to look at her. His eyes remained fixed on her closed lids, the blush on her cheeks, and the shy surrender she could never put into words.
For a moment, neither spoke.
Because some feelings were far too beautiful for words.

The Confessions

Most love stories give us grand confessions: heartfelt speeches, roses, and a man down on one knee. But Arnav and Khushi's love story was never ordinary, so neither was their confession.
At a place of fear, desperation, and uncertainty: Arnav was trapped by kidnappers and allowed a single phone call by Shyam's manipulative scheme to reassure his family, Arnav finally found himself hearing the one voice he longed for the most.
The moment Akash handed the phone to Khushi, her uncontrollable tears told Arnav everything he needed to know. She tried to speak, but her fear and worry overwhelmed her. Hearing her cry made him restless.
Deep down, Khushi sensed that Arnav was in danger. This was a man who struggled to express his emotions, who guarded his heart behind walls of anger and pride.
And then came the words that changed everything.
"Khushi, I love you."
It wasn't just a confession. It was a release of months of unspoken emotions, longing, and love that neither of them had ever been able to put into words. It was a goodbye he hoped would not be a goodbye, a promise and a declaration made when he didn't know what the future held.
In that moment, separated by distance and danger, Arnav and Khushi finally said what their hearts had known all along.

Arnav had been teasing Khushi about their much-awaited suhaagraat, leaving her flustered and nervous. Confused about whether a marriage without proper pheras could truly be considered complete, Khushi sought advice from both Payal and Nani, hoping to find clarity amidst her growing feelings for her husband.
Wearing the red lehenga gifted by Arnav, when the moment seemed perfect, Khushi stopped him. She confessed that their marriage felt incomplete without the sacred seven pheras and the blessings of their family. For Khushi, marriage was about traditions, rituals, and acceptance.
Frustrated but determined, Arnav dragged her to the terrace and impulsively attempted to recreate the wedding ritual himself. But what followed was not a wedding, it was the confrontation they had both been avoiding. Khushi accused him of refusing to understand what truly mattered to her. Arnav, equally frustrated, finally reached his breaking point.
And then, in the middle of their argument, the truth came spilling out.
"I LOVE YOU, DAMMIT!"
Again, not as a planned confession. Not as a grand romantic gesture.
But as an honest declaration from a man who had spent too long fighting his own feelings.
Too stunned by the confession, Khushi had let Arnav go, watching him walk away from her in a trance, his words still ringing in her ears, a smile finally blooming on her face.

She waited for him the entire night.
After all the teasing, the arguments, the terrace confrontation, and that "I LOVE YOU, DAMMIT!", she expected him to come to her. But he didn't.
Not until the next morning.
Because even in his impatience, Arnav Singh Raizada understood her heart. He knew that what Khushi wanted was not just love, but acceptance, rituals, and a marriage blessed by family and tradition. So, he gave her what mattered the most - respect for her feelings.
He would marry her again.
This time not because of circumstances, anger, or misunderstandings, but because he loved her. This time with all the rituals, all the blessings, and all the rights she deserved as his wife.
For Khushi, there was no turning back after that.
If a man who had spent his entire life hiding his emotions could stand before her and confess his love, then surely she could gather the courage to confess hers too.
As she prepared to leave for her mayka and wait for him to bring her back as his bride once again, she returned to him one last time.
Hesitant. Nervous. Shy.
Just as she always was when it came to matters of the heart.
Looking into his eyes, she softly whispered the words she had wanted to tell him for so long.
"Hum bhi aapse..." She paused, her cheeks flushing. "I love you, Dammit."
Unlike Arnav's loud, frustrated declaration, hers came as a gentle whisper. Filled with love, trust, and belonging.
But it was enough.
Enough to erase the frown from his face. Enough to bring a smile to the man who rarely smiled. Enough to give Arnav his greatest Khushi.

Remarriage Track
A man who never believed in rituals, traditions, or even the idea of marriage, had the ability to bend the world to his will. It would not have taken much for Arnav Singh Raizada to dismiss the it entirely. One word from him, and both families would have silently agreed.
But the Arnav standing before Buaji, stopping her hand from hitting Khushi, was no longer merely ASR.
He was Khushi’s Arnavji.
He may not have believed in rituals.
He may not have believed in marriage.
But he believed in Khushi.
And so, he agreed to the wedding.
Shagun

The ritual that formally welcomes a girl as the future bride of the family unfolds amidst smiles, gifts, teasing, and happiness. The Raizadas sit proudly after completing the ceremony while the Guptas glow with satisfaction at seeing Khushi transformed into the perfect shy bride.
With a smirk, devastatingly handsome and utterly unbothered, Arnav enters the Gupta house. And within moments, the suave businessman disappears, replaced by an impatient groom desperate to steal a few moments alone with his fiancée. Much to Dadi’s outrage, Arnav drags Khushi away for a private conversation.
What he cannot escape, however, are Khushi’s disappointed eyes.
What surprises the viewers along with Khushi is that Arnav has slowly become expressive around her.
The Roka or Engagement

The bride arrives dressed pretty while the groom stands waiting looking dapper.
Somewhere between the rituals and stolen glances, Arnav surprises everyone, including us, with his sudden knowledge about engagement customs. Even if Google deserves partial credit, what truly matters is his effort.
Because this is no longer just ASR tolerating rituals for Khushi’s sake.
Knowingly or unknowingly, he was beginning to give them meaning.
Whether it is asking Anjali to perform the tika properly, insisting Buaji tie the raksha dhaga around his wrist, or teasing Khushi when she struggles to believe this is truly the same Arnav Singh Raizada she once feared, every gesture reveals how deeply he is changing.
After exchanging rings, Arnav steals Khushi away to the poolside, hungry for a few uninterrupted moments with her. While Khushi dreams of celebrating through dancing, Arnav seems to have entirely different plans.
Who could forget his suggestion that Khushi write a book titled:
“100 Ways to Ruin Romantic Moments”, after she interrupts his kisses with the unforgettable: “Amanji ka phone aa gaya toh?”
Only Khushi Kumari Gupta could destroy a moment like that so innocently.
And the way she stresses “Singh Raizada” while adding his surname to hers?
That tiny moment says more than grand confessions ever could.
Kuldevi Pooja

Then comes the Kuldevi Pooja.
Perhaps this is what love truly does to people.
Because the same ASR who scoffed at rituals casually announces he is going to the temple. The family stares at him in disbelief until he clarifies:
“I am going to meet Khushi.”
But when Khushi explains the significance of seeking blessings from the family deity before marriage, the atheist Arnav quietly climbs those temple stairs.
Not for faith. Not for belief. But for her.
Mehendi arrives in shades of yellow, laughter, and teasing.

As Khushi asks the artist to write an “A” on her palm for Arnav, the groom mischievously suggests she write “LG” instead, considering she calls him Laad Governor more than Arnav.
The family dances to Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna, but it is Khushi who steals the spotlight, teasing Arnav through every lyric while he watches her with complete adoration.
Haldi

A ritual symbolizing the groom coloring his bride in his shade before marriage.
Unlike traditional ceremonies held separately, the Raizadas decide to celebrate together, and no one seems happier than Arnav.
Until Khushi suddenly claims he no longer loves her because her mehendi did not darken enough.
“What the - !”
For a brief moment, the romantic groom vanishes and ASR returns, anger flashing across his face as he pulls her back. Yet beneath that frustration lies fear.
Fear of losing her.
His voice cracks not with rage, but vulnerability as he tells her that his love cannot be measured by the color of mehendi.
And suddenly, Khushi understands.
That beneath ASR’s arrogance has always existed a deeply fragile man who loves her with terrifying intensity.
Sangeet

The Sangeet becomes a celebration not just of marriage, but of their journey.
The families perform skits mimicking Arnav and Khushi while the couple themselves imagine dancing together amidst the performances. Then NK raises the question everyone has secretly wondered:
“Why hasn’t Arnav proposed yet?”
And surprisingly, the man who once mocked love walks onto the stage to officially propose marriage to Khushi.
“Love can make anyone do anything,” he says.
The Bachelor Party

The moment Khushi discovers the real meaning of the “bachelor party,” panic takes over her imagination. And because she is Khushi Kumari Gupta, she can never sit quietly and trust fate. So she marches straight to the party with Payal, fully prepared to save her Arnavji from every possible “chudail” in existence.
What she finds instead is an extremely amused Arnav Singh Raizada, who watches his furious fiancée search an entire room for an imaginary girl. Arnav finally reveals that the mysterious “woman” is nothing more than a mannequin statue.
When Khushi declares that only she has rights over him, Arnav looks at her with quiet pride. Somewhere along the way, they had stopped being two stubborn people fighting destiny and had become each other’s home.
And perhaps that is why, later that night, Arnav wants to show her something no one else will ever understand.
Away from the noise and laughter, he takes Khushi into a dark room and lights up the ceiling with stars and planets. Beneath that artificial sky, with galaxies shimmering above them, he softly points toward two bright stars and tells her those are their mothers.
Khushi smiles through tears, believing their mothers are watching them proudly because they find sacha pyaar.
And Arnav, the same man who once mocks emotions, quietly asks her how she knows their love is real.
Her answer is simple.
Because whenever she cries, he suffers more than her.
Because even when he stays far away, their hearts still find each other.
They laugh at how strange they are.
But then comes the truth hidden beneath Arnav’s smile.
“Khushi, mujhe chhod kar mat jaana. Main tumhare bina jee nahin paoonga.”
It is not merely a confession.
It is surrender.
For the first time in his life, Arnav Singh Raizada admits that someone else becomes more important than his own survival.
That night changes everything.
Because when Arnav senses her nervousness, he does not demand love from her.
He respects it.
He kisses her forehead softly, understanding her hesitation before she can even voice it. And perhaps that is what finally makes Khushi let go of every remaining fear.
The same dori that once tied them together through helplessness and pain now becomes a symbol of choice, trust, and forever.
And under the stars, two people who once destroy each other slowly heal each other.
Shaadi

Finally, the wedding day arrives.
A marriage that was once forced is now chosen willingly.
And yet, fate waits in the shadows.
The truth about Garima’s connection to Arnav’s father resurfaces. Dadi reveals the past like a weapon, reopening wounds that never healed.
On one side stands Khushi, dressed as a bride, waiting with hopeful eyes.
On the other stands Arnav, shattered by revelations tied to his mother’s death.
Dadi believes she has won.
The wedding collapses into tears, accusations, heartbreak, and pleading. Even Arnav disappears into his mother’s garden, drowning in agony.
Until he remembers her words:
“It’s wrong to punish the flower for the mistake of the thorns, Chote.”
And suddenly, every memory of Khushi flashes before him.
Their first meeting. Their fights. Their attraction. Their pain. Their laughter. Their promises. Her unwavering trust.
That is the moment Arnav understands.
This story was never about hatred.
It was always about loving Khushi, against the universe.
When Khushi finally loses hope after the sacred fire extinguishes, Arnav returns. Bleeding, broken, but present.
For a moment, he accuses her of bringing him back to a place filled with betrayal and pain.
But then comes the line that changes everything:
“…par aana toh tha hi.”
Because despite all the pain and the past, he still came. For her.
And within moments, Arnav Singh Raizada finally makes Khushi Kumari Gupta his wife, not through force or helplessness this time, but through choice.
