I’m finding it so fascinating how Moti Baa is this fond of Shruti ji so quickly. By every definition she has of an “ideal woman” Shruti is obviously not. She’s not married, she has no kids, she’s running a massive business conglomerate and she’s a “mother who is very invested in her married daughter’s life”. By all means these are all the things Moti Baa thinks is inappropriate for any woman. It’s a wonder to me she loves her so much then that she’s even willing to reprimand her beloved Gautam ji when she wouldn’t do that to him for abusing both his wives, embezzling from her company, disrespecting her son, harassing her grandson and his wife and so on. The Kothari men better watch out, she may soon hand over the Kothari empire to Shruti ji as the only capable heir. And now Shruti has even respected her and planned this surprise and she’s like practically giddy watching her. I understand Moti Baa’s bottom line is money and Prem’s success and whoever will make it happen is king but the way she’s latched on to Shru considering Shru may very well start encouraging Rahi to have her own life, focus on her career, stop being a pushover for her in laws and basically be the kind of woman Anuj would have actually hoped she’d become, I’m wondering if Rahi’s life and status at her in laws’ may actually improve or will THAT then become the breaking point for this blossoming relationship of Moti Baa X Shru. Or by then will Rahi patch up with Anupamaa and then encouraged to be a doormat forever as that is what they think a “truly empowered” woman is.
