Collateral damage is not ok. Small girls getting slaughtered is not ok. But from what we r reading about Iran..the small girls, young girls n women have been oppressed there since decades. In recent times itself many of them lost their lives. There r stories of acid attack victims. So what damage is that?
Suppose someone is getting bullied since long..inspite of repeated requests n warnings the bullying doesn’t stop..there is simmering anger within..and one day the person gives it back to the bully with all his/her might..who is the victim in this case?
If the intentions of the U.S. or Israel were truly noble, they wouldn’t have had to wage a war. They could have taken out Khamenei without all this fanfare. They certainly didn’t have to bomb civilian areas or threaten to keep the war going unless all the “objectives” of the US were fulfilled.
(I didn’t use that word myself — that’s literally what a U.S. senator said regarding the ongoing war.)
Who’s bullying whom here? If the whole war had started because the U.S. wanted to eradicate one tyrant and Iran was retaliating, I would still support the U.S. But that wasn’t their intention, was it? They waged war because Iran refused to bow down regarding its nuclear weapons program.
They’re still not even clear about which so-called objectives need to be fulfilled before this war comes to an end.
If US is a messiah, then Khamenei must be the purest man to exist. Both are ridiculous claims. The US wouldn’t lift a finger if it didn’t have selfish interests involved. If people choose to believe otherwise, that’s their prerogative.
