No need to believe that what got worded in the postpone-announcemend is the genuine reason, it was just a 'good' opportunity to avoid a clash without losing face too much.

It already happened that a movie with an earlier given release date made the way for someone coming with a the same date later on out of collegial reasons but t h a t would be an exception. Big clashes mostly are power-plays...and Yash (representing the Kannada/Karnataka filmindustry with Toxic) knew that he would have the much weaker position (even AA Films as distributor in the Hindi belt certainly vouched for a postponement).

Personally, I think, to not engage into 'arm wrestling' with Dhurandar 2 was a good decision.

Toxic knew their collections would be effected by the clash and so decided to move, it's as simple as that, both films were seeing who would give in and move, and it seems like Toxic decided to move.

I think the usa advance bookings were the thing that really convinced the Toxic team to postpone

It's a good decision for all, both movies will now have solo releases
