No clue.. I think this is because when RS was at its low point, RoPu accepted the offer. Basically RS and SP terminated the lead actors..it is not easy to find a lead actor on such a short notice. They brought the guy and he does what RS wants. So I think with the time he became his fav.

Rohit is a proper yes man of shahi and he likes people like them. I had once watched an interview of shahi where he was telling that when he launched his first show bidaai only star plus trusted him and gave him chance. After that yeh rishta also became success. He said that many other channels particularly colors tried to poach him but he stayed loyal to star . He decided that he will make show only for star until star willingly rejects. Jee hazuri ke maamle mein yeh insaan sanki hai

Also i think it’s win-win situation for both. RoPu wanted to be ml since forever and RS like you said wanted a yes sir after what HC/Sheh did.

Yes..RS prefers actors who shows loyal to him irrespective of the script or anything. Then he will keep them in the show as long as he desires. This gen was suppposed to shut down last year as per trp but they are dragging because of the actors. Gen 3 shut down because lead actors basically left the show.
