Unless the writing improves and that too by a lot I doubt Gen5 will work. They would also have to take great actors for that gen

Gen 4 worked initially with Samridhi shehzada who are not great actors and storylines entirely copy pasted from ghum S1. I guess audience craves freshness and new content in era of social media. So any age appropriate pair with decent chemistry still has chance to make yeh rishta work and DKP also has habit of rising from ashes.

The problem with current gen is that audience has become tired with monotonous execution and bland faces after seeing them from 2 years.

leap kabhi bhi aaye hai but one thing is sure that show is in loss due to not reaching 2 trps. Its upto star how much they will be able to afford losses.

Rohit came in around holi in 2024 and this year it will be 2 years. There is a possibility that they may not renew the contract of him this time and take gen leap. It is cheaper to pay a newbie actor than an experienced like Rohit if they are facing losses.
