Omg I missed all that. All this time I was deliberately ignoring the posts about Karan Nandini Tanya discussions because I wanted to watch the later episodes myself as I missed lots of episodes of OG Kyunki. But today I decided to just read this post. I am shocked. Ekta is crazy. She put Nandini through so much. I don’t feel much for Tanya as I remember she was negative from the beginning. She used to plot against Karan Nandini with Ansh, but she for sure shouldn’t have been blamed for bhoomi and other children not turning out good as Karan had an equal responsibility. Also I understand Nandini was in coma and family wanted Karan to move on, but technically the wife is still alive. So what’s the law regarding that?

Tanya would change shades as per the demand of the track tbh. We never find out why exactly beyond simple friendship does she help Ansh. We don’t even know their backstory so it’s hard to guess.
She eventually falls in love with Karan for real though seeing how he’s a genuinely good person and eventually she becomes a friend of Nandini’s too. Nandini finds out somehow that I can’t remember that she was planted by Ansh from day one but chooses to forgive her. Tanya tries to help Nandini when she files a case in court against court for martial assault. She almost gets killed too.
Eventually the track happens that I mentioned before. Post leap we see Karan is not exactly a present husband. He spoils Bhoomi but is very harsh with Manthan, his son with Tanya. He never quite parents them and his marriage with Tanya is something that is nothing more than an obligation to him. He’s searching for Nandini obsessively because she was sentenced to life imprisonment without bail for her crime as a pregnant woman given the circumstances that led to her committing a murder but she got released earlier than expected owing to good conduct. Her sentence is reduced and she is gone.
Tanya obviously is not happy that the man she’s spent 20 plus years with doesn’t give any attention to their son and their marriage. That makes her negative. People hate her because she’s a vamp that was the third woman between Karan Nandini, but if you look at it objectively and just think of her as a woman who has watched her husband in love with another woman despite 20 years of marriage you see she has a reason to become a vamp. Frankly she was one of the few negative characters whose choices made sense.
As for the legality of such a marriage, Ekta never showed any legal consultation being sought to verify the process to go ahead with such a marriage. But for once I can’t blame her because there’s no law that exists for such a situation. As in, a person whose spouse is alive but either in coma or a vegetative state wants to obtain a decree of divorce from the court as they wish to remarry someone else but their legally wedded spouse is not in a state to even understand what’s going on much less consent to end the marriage and grant divorce.
