She’s a young, small town girl who has been raised in a traditional family environment. A guy who is close to her age, not related to her was nice to her, she assumed he’s interested in her and he has been behaving with her very decently. That’s all it took.

She didn’t care much about his looks or him being shorter than her.

Her family though ought to have had dug up more on Dev, Baapji should have sat down with him and grilled him about his future plans regarding education, career, marriage etc. But they didn’t even think about it.

I don’t blame her for liking him - she’s young and naïve; her parents and grandpa should have known better than to jump the gun even if the Viranis are their acquaintances and long time family friends. Baapji ought to have thought that the people he was friends with are long dead, these are literally their grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Yup. I'm not saying Noyna is the only one who should be held responsible but she cannot claim victim in all this. I hold both the parties responsible when it comes to cheating. It's not like she was kept in the dark about his marital status, right?
