Most producers in Marathi produce films for getting the State government subsidy. Film quality and box office collection doesn't matter, they get profits from subsidy. That's how we have 100-120 Marathi movies getting released per year although Marathi cinema is not booming and only 4 films are hit every year. (These 4 are not made by subsidy-seekers.)

Marathi needs quality writers and producers ready to produce their scripts, both not for subsidy.

Please no more naatak adaptations and historical films and biopics.

Aaple lekhak, nirmaate ek vishay chaalla ki tyaach vishayaavar chitrapat kaadhtaat. Algorithm zaalay.

Please no more London and Konkan

At one time films were only set in Mumbai-Pune. Now they are only set in Mumbai, Pune and Konkan, London.

Our films are not as diverse as our State.

Kedar Shinde needs to be stopped. 😭 After Baipan Bhari Deva's success, he made Zapuk Zupuk which became a flop. Now this.

Ya chitrapataat TTM cha Sachin (Nakul Ghanekar) aahe.

His films are like TV serials. Too simple subjects and no depth. Acting wise it's good but story is not.

Although Baipan Bhari Deva was a hit, I watched and didn't like it tbh. Its story was too simple and not at all strong or good. It was a film about women's lives and what is the women's solution to set free? They participate in a Manglagaur competition to get 2 lakh rupees (or maybe 25 lakh?). 😭

They get intensive training for that just to play many Manglagaur games in a four minutes song.😭

And worst thing in the movie was the scene where Rohini Hattangadi (forgot characters' names) signs for her sister Vandana Gupte's daughter's hospital treatment instead of simply calling Vandana to come there. Vandana doesn't know her daughter is in hospital, and her sister Rohini doesn't even call her! Unnecessary emotional drama of Vandana scolding Rohini for using this opportunity because Rohini is childless.

Perhaps it just became a hit because it at least put little bit light intermittently on women's struggles, that's all. वासरात लंगडी गाय शहाणी.

One Manglagaur competition transforms their lives, makes them financially independent, gives Sukanya Mone confidence, and Pratima (Shilpa Navalkar) buys a new phone. 😭

I watched a Malayalam film, The Great Indian Kitchen. It is so good. I highly recommend it.

That's how a film on this topic should be. Much better than Baipan Bhari Deva.

Baipn's success was because it echoed with many women.... Pratyek gharachi comedy keli tr to kashi chalel🤦 sorry pn if it's not something serious and needs attention, tr mazi aai kadhihi vahinichya business madhe naak khupsat nahi.

I think the main gist of movie was to make the confront things that women keep suppressed for years for the sake of peace in family. Eventually they realise that there is a lot better and bigger world and has place for everyone. Thoda OTT hota with pinga and sasare buwa 180 turn pn that is kedar shinde for you

Ani even in kokani they only know zayla, Kayla ani chat shabda then their tone shifts to posh marathi of shivaji nagarnatak pn khoop boring ahet atache.... June natakancha navin adaptation jasta chaltay should tell you everything about it!
