She had 1 OSO and 1 LAK in 5 years..she was totally written off when Desi Boys flopped. Cocktail indeed revived her career.

Side roles in skimpy clothes or some awful flop films, that was her entire pre Cocktail era. She got lucky with Cocktail, and then Bhansali happened to her. Shed be washed out and forgotten by now if Kareena hadn’t walked out of Ramleela.

SLB had back to back flop movies before dp joined his movie. SLB biggest box office collections are still with dp's movies. He saw cocktail and signed her. history was dp had 4 blockbuster hit films in 1 year. Professional wise dp made the best decisions but personal wise, wrong decisions. Dp debuted as a superstar. Dp has been part of so many blockbuster hit films and the amount of money they had made is the highest.

what is the difference between her pre cocktail movies and post cocktail movies? even chennai express was an average movie. and Deepika's acting in it got more appreciation than SRK's.

Here in the forum, one has to make attention to words... "avarage" can become an insult because some instantly will look at the boxoffice and contest your remark (well, I know that you meant something else... and I agree ). The best - in both movies - are the performances (and in CE also the landscape)

bro Gangubhai was only Boxiffice Hit and that too with 120cr net from 180 cr Budget. Never seen hit like this
