I think Alia is only real friends with her sister Shaheen and her cats. Baaki sab naam ki friendships hai for benefit.

Alia i think is just like her father Mahesh bhat by nature i think she uses all to climb up success ladder

He used praveen babi to go up in bollywood her contacts etc than dumped her saying schizopernia

In reality i think praveen babi got schizophrenia because mahesh bhat, kabir bedi etc used her and dumped her never really loved her

Praveen babi must be soft hearted person believed they truly loved and got shock when all using her like ladder for career etc and dumping her and got so upset she had schizophrenia severly(other than genetics environment plays crucial role)

Also alia is a A type personality

she locked herself in bathroom and threatened(indirect blackmail tactics) if not given some movie i think bhansali (please read in google)

who behaves so

she knows how to do emotional blackmail what she never deserves or snatch others roles

i think ranbir kapoor knows her well and so is always behaving rude in public (in private she may again blackmail him with something ppl like this blackmail family members most in private but maintain goody two shoes image in public - i have seen such ppl in real life)

Considering how quickly and publicly their friendship sizzled after Ranbir and Alia openly came out as a couple in 2018, I’m gonna say no, Katrina didn’t say that to her. It had actually been reported that Katrina was blindsided and hurt by Alia because Alia had been someone she had vented all her hurt and heartbreak about Ranbir to.

On topic, I don’t think Alia became friends with Katrina to get to Ranbir. Their friendship started mostly after Kat and Ranbir’s break up. I think it happened because they both had the same trainer and started working out together.

Alia however did not anticipate all the backlash and mocking she got for betraying her friend by dating the friend’s ex. For years after she started dating Ranbir every post by her or about her would be filled with 🐍 comments. She even mentioned the snake emojis in that now infamous “nepo nepo, nepo this, nepo that” moment in an interview with Anupama. That’s why she doubled down on presenting herself as Katrina’s friend and did stupid things like posting a yoga video at Ranbir’s home and tagging Katrina in it, or adding a grave emoji while wishing Katrina happy birthday. She wanted to world to believe that Katrina was OK with her dating Ranbir and that their friendship was intact. Neither was true.

now that everything makes sense. I won't be surprised if she befriended Katrina to be close to Ranbir and manifested their break up.

As I didn't follow Alia much apart from watching some of her movies and knowing Katrina to be quite frank, I had this idea. But given what others tell (and told) about Alia and also given my own impression about her, she was (and maybe still is) quite immature and - as I already wrote - would try to do everything to get what she wants.

Actually, I think that she wasn't what I would call "a happy kid" and will not be a happily satisfied adult.

However, I agree that bromance hasn't really an equal for the feminine side although the term "sisterhood" exists.
