Book Talk Reading Challenge & Book Bingo|| Bingo updates P.24 - Page 34

Interesting. Now I am motivated to create a book bingo. But I do not think I am capable of hosting it. So, if anyone needs a creative suggestion, let me know.

@pirates, Guys, is this ok? Personally, I wanted Bingo so that we all can do something as a team and not just for page counts. But not at the expense of people's interest. I don't want anyone to read a genre/language/book that they don't want to just because they made commitment to their team members or read like wackos just for the heck of it without enjoying the books, hence why I wanted Bingo to be postponed with restructuring.

We aren't really at a loss if we postpone Bingo, coz the books will be counted in your individual logs as it is. (Which will boost your chances of getting a higher level)

That said, if we go for individual bingo this month and when Lizzie comes back and redos team bingo with Shreya's suggestion/shreya does it, I don't mind it too, but this is all just me, please pm me/post here what you think. This way, we can still get the badge I designed for this month, and next time whenever shreya/Lizzie host team bingo, we can haave another badge✌🏻

P.S. Shre, next month I'll be hosting BTRC with Vera and after that I think Lizzie is planning on Secret Santa for dec, so if you wanna do next month, you can make the teams and we can handle the rest of BTRC so that the teams are created by the Bingo organizer and are fair

Damn, I think I'm gaining a renewed respect for Shreya, Lizzie, and everyone who organizes and hosts events. They make it look effortless when it's anything but that!

I have this one saved for Thriller , usually mystery / thriller bingo cards main problem yeh hai ki ,sometimes they have spoilers as their prompt , jaise ki isme ek hai “Spouse is villain” but overall grid is good so I can excuse that one.

You can also voice out your ideas to Shreya/Shibani/Lizzie. I'm sure they'll consider everyone's suggestions .

Honestly, below 3 stars is generous for the book I read. Like, do not give awful book any credit, this is a no stars and 5 paragraph rant situation. It makes me want to apologize to all the books I've rated below 3 stars.

IMO Books already read should be counted, otherwise that just defeats the whole purpose of changing this from a team to an individual game . Also, 25 tasks might be too much so perhaps we could limit it to just 2 of anything — like 2 diagonals, 2 colors or 2 rows, based on our discretion. We can then declare these in our logs (like we usually do for other monthly challenges) so the captains can easily understand and verify the claims later on.

You deserve a separate award for completing that task I gave up after just reading the blurbs of a few books on the list 😭

P.S: I’m looking forward to reading your review of that book in this month’s Excel sheet reading rants is my favorite pastime on Goodreads.
