Am I overthinking , but if these sorts of plots are so commonly shown in family rated shows doesn’t it normalise this kind of behaviour in the society??

Ya that's y u see majority people are so de sensitized. Kuch farak hi nai padta.

On road a girl gets stabbed by a guy but onlookers will record it or simply walk away but wont stop it. Tab culture tradition kuch yaad nai aayega but jaise hi a girl is seen alone at night u will get to hear all the lectures.

If all these things are shown too much without any end result/punishment then toh desensitization ho hi jaayega at 1 point.

Exactly, it is all drama, shock factor and leaps after leaps to get TRP'S. There are no simple shows any more, not just ITV, but across the globe. At one point OTT had some good shows , but that too went down the drain now.

Audience are left to pick crap out all the available crap in the market 🙃

That show was lesson in immoral relations & domestic violence 101 & by the time season 1 ended, one could do a PhD on how to abuse your spouse
